Really poor that it spews out an authorisation error on the basis of the wrong browser type.

Looking absurd is not something they are worried about. Only thing that matters is that they can assert their power in some way to show us all whos boss.

Remember this is the same government that this time last year was locking down one of their most important cities without food or access to medical care.

-.cn websites often require a local internet connection
-if you are not in China, try a Chinese IP address
-this technique also works for Chinese companies with .com addresses like smartshanghai

It's a matter of how & where the site is hosted, and how it was setup, not what the website address is, per se.
I have a .cn website hosted and setup in the USA, and it works just fine.
If you need to access a .cn website from outside China that's being 'stubborn', try a VPN with a Chinese IP address, or use your phone's data (if it's a Chinese phone).

Not news, but just a data point:
ANA from HND to PEK checked the PCR test results at check-in.
HND offers RT PCR (30 minute results) for ~U$85 inside Terminal 1.

MU also checked mine on GMP-SHA check in. A $100 tax on those of us flying from countries the wolf warriors feel slighted by in some way.

Well, that's definitely better than the $600 we had to pay for tests in the Bay Area. CVS and Walgreen's still test for free, but I think I'd rather pay $100 than go to that miserable CVS again, where I was treated like a criminal, and wasn't even allowed to wait in the store.

A bit of a complicated process but staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I forgot how much I like Japan!

If you guys can wait, China will lift the COVID test requirement in the summer. Firm date is not set but my "guess" is June 15th. Don't ask me how I know this, take it as a grain of salt if you want.

I'm planning to travel from Australia to China, via HK for 1.5 days. Am I right to believe that I need to find somewhere to do a travel PCR test in HK to be allowed to board my flight to China?
