This site is done on my time. I like a lot of the people that post here and on EOS. Troll makes a ton of good points, JK Huggins makes a lot of valid points. There are several people that post (if I didn't name you personally, please don't be offended) GOOD stuff and I want to learn and communicate as well as I can.

They give me no direction or advisment at all on what to post (with the exception of the odd "hey knucklehead, you hit the delet o meter again!). This is not propaganda, it is merely opinion based on my experience and knowledge of the job. Sometimes I am right, sometimes I learn that I am wrong.

At this time, my duties consist of posting on EOS as I have been doing. Commenting on things that I want to, answering questions that I can and generally being me. In the future, I understand that I might have blog subjects assigned to write up for the page. My arguing here is just another wonderful quirk of my naturally wonderful personality!

I have submitted a few items last several days and not one had been posted. Almost no updates have been added.
I have stayed well within the posting guidelines.
Is Blogdad Bob on the rag or something?

It wouldn't be much of a loss, from the perspective of TSOs. There's been a whole, whole lot of the workforce who would just as soon see it shut down - and have voiced their desire for that, in fact. I, and the others who post regularly here or on the EoS Blog, are in a definite minority.

(*I don't count you with the embarrassing ones!)
Apart from reversing the rogue policy on taking all electronics out (except for when it pops up again now and then), it's hard to identify any beneficial changes TSA has made in response to the blog. For a while, some thought the demise of the SPO-7 was due to outcry on PV but apparently not. So apart from the entertainment value (in the tradition of the Keystone Kops or the Three Stooges) and the chance to hone one's creative writing skills, it's hard to say it would be missed.

I can easily imagine that it would be viewed by your management as either a huge embarrassment (since many of the stories and some of your colleagues* don't present TSA in a very good light) or a huge waste of time (since it failed to convince us to just shut up and obey).

I have noticed something, now that Kip has made his exit and Gale is running the show the TSA seems more geared towards spinning than discussion. Understand Gale is a career bureaucrat that is in a position that is not appointed. As long as she can keep Nappy happy she is safe, until the new Kip comes onboard. (Still waiting Obama, change my ) It seems Gales strategy is to out wait any bad press.
I do miss Kip, as bad as I think some of his policies were, at least the man would engage a discussion.

By the TSA? Even as pure spin, it's hurting them. Bob puts up a puppy post and FTs go say, "but what about the cremated remains" "what about Steve Bierfeldt" "what about that dangerous bag of dirt" and Bob has to make increasingly lame excuses. And then a bunch of anonymous TSA folk speak up to show how ignorant they are of their own policies. For Pete's sake, Bob says that corkscrews are allowed and some screener complains about how much work he has confiscating corkscrews! You just can't buy that kind of stupid.
I agree this is the strategy but a blog where the dirty linen is aired must make the waiting harder. (And you just wanted a chance to write "Nappy happy."
)
The only thing I can say for Kip is that "KHIAI" was a snappier line than "Whoever ends up in charge of TSA is an idiot." His brand of discussion seemed, to me, to consist largely of "I know you hate us but we have secret scientific reasons for the liquid/shoe/ID/mmw policy. So there." YMMV.

I'll agree with that, Kip may not have been the best choice to run the TSA, but he did make an effort to engage in dialogue with the American public to address concerns.
