Has any TSO been disciplined for ignoring $10,000+ in cash or illegal drugs and letting the pax go?

She has a lot of restaurant experience. Let her go back to that.

Define "double check" because that can be interpreted in so many ways. To me an acceptable "double check" is the following scenario:

TSA Agent: Sir, you appear to have a considerable amount of cash in your belongings. For your, uh, security, we'd like to know some details about this.

Passenger: For my own security and peace of mind, I don't care to provide any.

TSA Agent: Sir, for your, uh, security, I'm required to ask you this question again.

Passenger: For my own security and peace of mind, I insist that you leave me alone.

TSA Agent: Thank you for your cooperation, sir. Have a nice day and enjoy your flight.

I agree, the TSO in St Louis should be strung up and flogged! By doing what he did, he has mde it more difficult on me! I think the power trip problem has toned down a bit over the last year, at least at my airport. I have not heard DY...T from anyone in over a year here.

Not to my knowledge ND, but I am not all knowing. I think it is a cooperative aggreement between Customs and TSA, but I am not certain and can't give a definitive answer on that one.

Now now Super, she seems to be very passionate about her responses. I think that is actually good for the organization, she is a ncie kid, but she is still a kid! Just like a lot of the younger people that work with me, they have not had the rounding of the rough edges. Give her some time and I am certain that her posts will be more in line with what you guys are used to. She gives good info. Sorry I haven't posted on here in a bit, don't get nearly as much puter time as I would like!

I'm more in favor of stocks and stones.

Public humiliation is always a winner!

Stocks and stones are fun too... I kinda like the drawn and quartered approach as well.... the only problem was getting 4 equal parts!

Hey Bart, she is not a moderator, she is a commentator/blogger which means she comments on the site andfrom time to time she will be called on to write up blogs for posting. Same with me, we don't do the moderating, just commenting and writing up blogs... and arguing with some of you guys here and there.

So are you saying that your tasking includes arguing with people who make comments on the PV Blog?

I'm curious. Does TSA assign employees to blog here on FT and other aviation sites as part of their job, or are they (and you) doing it as an off-duty pastime?

When you're paid by taxpayers to propagandize, what's a little more propaganda on the side?

They must be assigned 'cause we know that Kelly Mae posted while on duty.

My tasking includes posting information and responding to direct questions (essentially what I was doing before I was added to the team), and from time to time I will have blogs that are either assigned or of my own design. My arguing here is simply of my own volition! (another quirk of my lovely personality!)
