Speaking of the "training academy", I guess TSA is still training at SEA/TAC:

Yeah, considering that during the slowdown earlier this year, the Port of Seattle (taxpayer $$) hired 90 people to help deal with the consequences of TSA's work slowdown.
The money spent on those 90 employees should come directly out of TSA's bonus fund.

Don't tell that to our Instagram account.
This is correct (at least partly), TSA contacts the local LEOs, what happens after that is entirely up to the LEOs.
That has not been the case in my experience. Once we discover something like that, we contact the LEOs and they take over. Of course, YMMV.
Again, that is entirely up to the LEOs. Some will charge the passenger, and some will dump the weed in a toilet and give them a slap on the wrist or a talking to. Depending upon location, the results will be different.

Are there only four diplomas in the photo.... or is the clerk in the middle hiding his?

And what is with the scissors fingers on the right side of the photo -- are they playing rock scissors paper?

Ask TSA certainly doesn't instill confidence with the quality and inconsistency of the information offered, particularly since none of it is actually binding at any checkpoint.
1) as posted elsewhere, within a period of hours, Ask TSA gave conflicting answers to the question whether or not Clearcare contact solution is allowed or not. One of the tweeters noted that his solution gets confiscated regularly, but not all the time.
2) also as posted elsewhere, Ask TSA has told people that Harry Potter wands are forbidden and told other people that they are good to go in carry-on.
3) Ask TSA never fully informs pax that none of the answers are binding. Pax should take careful note of the word 'generally' and remember that the screener always has the final say.

Yep, the rusty old razor blade made this weeks list, but to Bob's credit he didn't claim it was "concealed" as Farbstein crowed.
