  • 100,000 Chase UR points after $15K spend in 3 months, with $95 annual fee (not waived the first year)

Additionally: For those who may be automatically excluded due to 5/24, the in-branch Business Rep can submit the application by Mail on your behalf (this avoids the application going through the computer check that would automatically exclude those who are already at 5/24.) First year's annual fee is not waived.

: Some members may have a referral link and would be very grateful if you would use it. See this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ost-first.html

1) Should I apply using the link above or go to a nearby brick and mortar branch?
Sometimes there are better offers to be had in the branch (as referenced above). Some in-branch apps had/have the $95 AF waived 1st yr (ymmv). You can also have your banker check to see if you are pre-approved for this card (green screen on the banker's log in). However, it is likely simpler/easier to do a Chase business credit application Online as applying in-branch often requires providing documentation (proof of business, etc).

2) How do the rewards differ from other INK cards?
The bonus categories on this card are different than other cards in the INK family, notably, this card does NOT get a bonus at Office Supply stores, but DOES get the following:

3 Points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories each account anniversary year:

- Travel; including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets, and taxis
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines

- 1 Point per $1 on all other purchases (with no limits on the number of points you can earn).

Also, notably, it follows the Sapphire Preferred personal card in offering a bonus when using points to book travel using the Ultimate Rewards web site: Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. For example, 80,000 points are worth $1,000 towards travel.*

See discussion on using the UR portal, here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...ts-2017-a.html
3) What are the insurance and other benefits provided by this card?
The Benefits Guide is here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/inkpreferred
4) Can I product change from a different INK Card?
Since this card is newly released, options may change in the future, but, at this time, Chase is not permitting product change to Ink Preferred at this time (reported on 11/23/16).
See our ongoing discussion here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...16-onward.html

Perhaps they have added a category override based on the merchant name. Anyway it's good news. I'll still be maxing out both bonus categories and am looking for somewhere else to put some Endicia spend. I may try the US Bank Business Edge Select Rewards Card which has an optional 3X category that includes shipping expenses and appears to be unlimited, but based on these merchant classifications I doubt Endicia will qualify.
Wow! Great work. I'll update my original post. Currently testing SimplyCash+ with Endicia again. Will update when I see results.

First I would SM or call chase to see if they can do it.

Last year when I got my Ink Plus I had to create another log-in and then call chase to have them move my other chase cards over. If I remember correctly, I read somewhere than you can move personal to business profile but not the other way around.

You can register for a new online profile (separate login) using the business card. In future additional business cards will automatically show up there.

If you want a single online login for both personal and business cards, then the business profile needs to be primary. Your personal cards can be added to business profile but not other way around. You need to call during business hours for this movement, try 1-877-CHASE-PC

I wanted to keep my original username (then personal cards only) for the combined profile, and they were able to accommodate this. They blew away existing personal profile completely, which freed up the username, registered business card to new profile using same username, then added all the personal cards also.

Any folks have experience/advice for re-applying for a business card after being denied for insufficient business income? Applied for Ink Preferred 100k in branch with a BRM, 4/24. Initially denied for being 5/24, but during reconsideration call, explained the extra account was an AU account, which the lending agent deemed acceptable.

Got the standard business income/revenue interview during that reconsideration call, before being told the information would be reviewed by a senior lender. Alas, only noted $1,000 income from a small resale business. A week passed and just received a letter noting denial for insufficient business income. Had heard multiple experiences from folks with small eBay resale businesses with $1,000 income being sufficient for approval, so very much regret not noting a larger income.

Is there some precedence for requesting re-consideration, or applying in 30 or 60 days with a higher income? I'd be fine with the $80k CIP at this point...

Thanks

That's one thing I don't like about that card, there isn't a clear accounting on bonus earning like Chase has. I'll give a call and see if I can get a rep to figure it out, otherwise you have to wait a few months for it to get on the statement since they have a delay before applying it to the account.

You can see which charges qualify for a bonus using the UR site's activity tracker, even before the statement closes.

Not to mention how AE makes you wait an extra cycle for the points and the poor redemption value on most things. Chase points are way nicer, but I'll still take 3 MR points over 1 UR point.

It is not necessary from Chase's perspective. I also had the Ink Business Bold along with several other Chase cards when I applied for this card. I was not rejected because I had the Bold, but because they did not want to offer additional credit to me. In order to free up available credit, I chose to close the Bold and transfer the credit to the new card.

Just approved for the Ink Business Preferred today with the 100K sign-up bonus points.

Applied on May 26, 2017 at a branch with the business relationship manager. Filed a paper application since we both agreed the online application would go to review anyway, and I would be asked all the questions on the paper application regardless. The paper form asked about business revenue, profit, business nature, personal household income, etc. The BRM asked me separately about business growth plan. That question was not on the paper form, but I think she was getting herself ready to convince the back office to approve my application if needed. Have an LLC with legitimate business spends (not eBay/Amazon selling). Have a Chase Ink Plus, again with lots of legitimate business spends, not just eBay PPDG or Staples, and the BRM said that made things much easier.

Approved for $10K, which was what I asked for. I was prepared to move some of the credit lines from the Ink Plus but was pleasantly surprised Chase just extended $10K more.

By the way, I am under 5/24. I told the BRM that. I also have really good credit score (around 800).

It doesn't hurt that she knows I have Plat Honor with Bank of America and my main business checking account is there. I told her how much I hated BofA. and she said how much she wanted me to move to Chase. I told her getting this card would be a big step. So I am not too surprised I got the card without a phone call from the back office. The BRM might have helped push it through without my involvement at all.
