Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit
How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.
For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.
But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.
Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.
Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.
Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.
What counts as Travel?
Gas Station and Grocery Store purchases will also count through 12/31/21. (See post 1521.)
The following items have been reimbursed.
Airline purchases, fees & gift cards:

Hey all,
A few pages back some members confirmed that Hyatt.com gift cards were covered by the CSR Travel credit. I bought one on 11/11 and selected "e-gift card" and not physical. Payment is still pending. I couldn't find a post confirming if "e-gift cards" particularly are covered. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

If you have read the Wiki you would avoid the mistake.
Besides, personally I am wary in buying Hyatt e-Gift Card if you know how easily those can be hacked.
This is the long running thread in Hyatt forum right on FT.

You may want to keep a very vigilant eye on your e-Gift Card. At least Hyatt seems to act quickly to make the purchaser whole if the e-Gift Card is bought directly from them, not so much if is from 3rd party site.

Just came back from NYC. They have a "vehicle for hire" service called Juno their that also counts for the $300 travel credit.

It would be difficult to grant a travel credit for a purchase that you haven't even been charged yet, huh?

Booked IHG cash and points stay, did not code as travel. Best route to get the code changed if possible?

Therefore it will NOT post as travel expenses because you essentially buy points that is processed by 3rd party.
There is really nothing you can do about it.
Only when the buy point activity is processed directly by the airline / hotel then it would be coded as travel.

For direct process, I only know about AA who started doing it themselves since last year IIRC. Someone claimed SPG also. You would want to check SPG forum and do a search for the info.
Wiki has a list on what count what dont. Open the wiki in full site mode if you are using mobile.

What are the chances of the credit being withdrawn, reduced, or restricted in use in the future? I've seen other cards with travel credits only applicable to baggage fees and in-flight food and drink. I'm looking into this card and am quite interested, but I'm also concerned about a bait-and-switch.

Things never stay the same forever. I'd guess, though, that the likelihood of it changing within the next year are very small. If the chance of this happening worries you, then don't get the card and you will have no worries.
