This card is subject to Chase's 5/24 policy. To read a summary of the policy click HERE. To discuss it click HERE.
You can override 5/24 by having an in-branch pre-approval (only! online prequalification does NOT override 5/24), or by already being Chase Private Client (as in you see the "Chase Private Client" text on the login screen of the Chase mobile app.)
Landing page with bonus offer (100,000 UR after spending $4,000 in 90 days):

100,000 UR points is worth $1,000 as statement credit, $1,500 when used for travel through the Chase portal, or potentially more if transferred to a partner.
Card features are here:https://www.chase.com/card-benefits/...reserve/travel. The card's Priority Pass includes unlimited guests. [Verified in Post #2635] Also verified by Chase

The card is made of the same material as the CSP, and is being shipped UPS Next Day Air Saver to everyone after production (currently (8/26) appears to have about a 3-day delay after approval before shipping. Expedited shipping is no longer being approved). Some are getting plastic cards with no box. Chase advises metal cards will follow later in these cases.
How to determine your account number, expiration date, and shipping date before receiving the card:
1. Send a secure message (SM) from the account. A common SM would be to ask about the sign-up bonus and last day to complete the spend requirement (which appears to be approximately 3.5 months from the date of approval).
2. Check the Sent Messages folder, and the full account number will be listed in the header of the message that you just sent. The number starts with 414720....
3. The expiration date is three years from the month of approval. So, if you were approved on August 31, 2016, your expiration date will be August 2019.
4. CVV2 number is not available, so if a merchant requires it for payment, you must wait for the physical card.
5. According to many reports, the card is not activated until it is shipped, which happens to be UPS Next Day Air Saver (if shipped on Friday, you will not receive the card until Monday or the next business day). To find out when it is shipped, go to My UPS and sign up for a free account. You'll be notified when a shipment is destined to your address.

Click HERE to read the separate thread discussing this benefit.
As soon as the account shows up online:
1. Click on Go To Ultimate Rewards.
2. Scroll down to the very bottom left and click on "Card Benefits"
3. Activate Membership to request card.
4. Card will take 1-2 weeks and can't be expedited, but members have reported success in charging the lounge access to the card and requesting a refund from Customer Service.
5. PP cards will be issued for the account holder and any AU(s)
6. According to Chase, CSR's PP membership includes guest access.
Duplicate Card
1. If you receive the plastic card, wait for the metal card to arrive automatically.
2. If you receive the metal card, send SM or call to request plastic card (for use with overseas merchants that require a card imprint, because you hate metal cards, whatever).
3. DO NOT request a replacement card (especially under any pretense that the card was lost or misplaced).
4. Both cards will have the same number, expiration and CVV. Both cards will work.
5. It appears that all CSR cards are sent overnight once produced, including the plastic 'replacement' cards. No need to request expedited shipping.
How to get bonus points on the first statement:
Act very quickly; you may have less than a week. It depends on the timing of your first statement and when you receive the card. 4K in spending has to clear (not pending) about a week before the statement cuts in order to get the bonus points on that statement. Under "account details" you can see your first payment due date. Your closing date is usually three calendar days after your due date. For instance, if your very first bill is due October 20 that statement would close on September 23, and spending would have to clear by approximately September 16 in order to get the bonus points.

You guys/gals getting "2 weeks" just need to wait it out. It just means it's marked approved and waiting for someone senior to sign off on it.
I applied 8/22 @ 11am PDT. Got pending online + "2 weeks" message on the phone. This morning I was approved for 35k.
You don't need to call in. Just wait.
If the line says 7-10 then you should call.

After all, the point of the card is to use it!

The other benefits of the CSR will be nice to have, also. I doubt I will use them often, but glad to know they're there if I need them.
My only wish at this point was for the CSR to earn 1.5 points per dollar on "other" expenses, so that I could use just the one card almost all of the time. When I get the CSR, I'll PC the CSP to a FU to get the 1.5X. (Whew, crazy alphabet soup!)
Of course I wouldn't mind if they add even more and better benefits, but as it is it makes sense for me.

But - in this case......
Why would you have to call in? How in the world could you have a "not approved" card on your account? I can imagine the conversation:
"I applied for a card and it now shows active on my account"
Yes sir, that is right.
" Yea, but was I approved?"
Color me confused!

No, I did the math. I currently have a CSP and was planning to keep it long term for its benefits (particularly the primary collision insurance and ability to transfer points 1:1 to airline partners). Given that, I only had to justify the $55 net difference between the annual fees of the two cards. I reviewed my spending history for the past 10 years and found that most years I exceeded $5500 in travel expenses, so even if UR points were worth only 1 cent each, I would still come out ahead with the CSR. If I occasionally don't, the signup bonus will more than make up for it.
The other benefits of the CSR will be nice to have, also. I doubt I will use them often, but glad to know they're there if I need them.

These "pre-approvals" seem to be causing some folks an issue. I get "pre-approvals" all the time from various banks for cards, credit lines, etc.
And, every single one of them still require an application and approval process. Always.
I think the small print actually says something like:
"Based on the mood our bankers are in today, and based on what we can see of your credit history, we will pre-approve you. This of course is subject to the mood of our bankers on the day you apply, and other information we will require from you. Bottom line, you are not actually approved, only pre-approved."

Somewhere along this thread, one good soul posted a pic of the terms that plainly stated the 100K bonus was in effect. If you're approved, just call CS and verify the bonus offer.

Was told 5 business days when I applied (on Monday). Just got an email with from "Chase Fraud Alert" (Subject: Your new Chase card is on its way!) with a UPS tracking number. Supposed to be delivered today. Very much an under promise over deliver thing going on.
I wonder who the genius is at Chase who decided to use "Chase Fraud Alert" as the sender name to send cards out. This will definitely make me pay less attention to emails from this sender name in the future.

In order for you to keep your CSP, you will need to spend:
95/0.0125/2 = 3800USD in travel and dinning.
For CSR:
150/0.015/3 = 3333.33USD in travel and dinning.
I am valuing the UR as its minimum value, that is 1.25cpp with CSP and 1.5cpp for CSR. And I am also valuing the 300 airline credit in full value, which drop the annual fee for CSR to 150 (450 - 300).
This means:
1) If you can spend more than 3333.33 each year in travel and dinning, the annual fee from CSR pay itself off.
2) If you originally was planning to keep CSP, getting CSR is actually even better for you. (even disregarding any other perks from CSR).
Sure, if we include some other cards, this would definitely change the equation on whether CSR is a good card to keep, but I think this at least shows that CSR > CSP.

Hello all,
I applied on 8/22, got the 7-10 days message. Automated line said 2 weeks, and it's now change to 30 days, is this a good or a bad sign? Fico's are 830 across the board, no inquires in the past two years. I have a CSP, couple Amex and a Discover card utilization below 3% and an annual income of $98k. Should I call verification or just wait it out? Tia.

8/22: 30 days
8/23: Two weeks
8/24: back to 30 days
I'm at 5/24 (with one being an AU) and I'm Private Client so I assume recon would help me, but I've been waiting to call until I get the dreaded 7-10 days...

I'm wondering if they sent mine in a plain envelope via USPS since I did a product change on Monday. Nothing from UPS has shown up assuming they haven't made their rounds yet, but there's no sign of any package being sent to my address on the My Choice site.
