However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

I closed my RC card earlier this year before the AF kicked in, not knowing they were going to close off the card to new applicants a few months later. I was going to rethink whether it was a card that would be useful for me. Is there a way back in for former card holders past the 45 or so day mercy period where you could ask for it back? I've heard one could upgrade a current Marriott brand card to it in some cases but haven't heard if anyone actually tried this or whether there are other options out there.

Anyone able to get a free night up to 50000 points? My renewal fee hit in Sept but I never got the free night even though I had the card for 3 years

I have a family member that is only $200-300 EQDs away from qualifying for AAdvantage Gold. American's web site (where you can enter info to buy up elite status) is only asking for this amount to get Gold for next year; the EQM's have already been attained. Do you think Ritz would consider this a reimbursable expense?

Has the Chase Ritz Visa ever sent a year-end gift to selected card holders? I don’t think so but I’m just curious since some premium cards do this. Thanks.

I plan to keep the card at least 1 more year to enjoy Marriott Platinum until year-end 2019.
