one member wrote: AA is now showing gift cards as "giftcard" rather than general purchase if the csr looks closely. Last year it worked for me, yesterday it did not and csr told me that's why. However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

I'll keep mine for now as I can still get value from having free authorized users, and giving them their Priority Pass privileges, along with the travel credit and free night. Plus Chase Priority Pass still includes restaurants, so keeping the Ritz makes sense for me, especially if I downgrade my CSR

Just product changed from my Bonvoy Boundless. Can anyone tell me how to get my Priority Pass cards? I sent a message to Chase Support via Twitter. This is what they wrote back:

Thanks for reaching out to us. The Priority Pass card is a benefit available only for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Please let us know if you need further help with your account. ^SP

There is no authorized user fee and AUs get their own priority pass card. For a net $150 (after credit) you get a free night at a category 6 hotel.

the free authorized user with PP makes it great for 2 player mode if you don’t have too many premium cards between you and your spouse/child/etc.

I've also used the $100 Ritz/St Regis credit (on stays 2 days or more) a few times.

but without the $100 discount it won’t see any spend from me. At least previously I put the flights for the $100 off on it. Now it’s purely a benefits sock drawer card.
How are you using the $300 credit?

My sister used it last year to bring two adults and 3 kids into a Priority Pass Lounge and I was not charged extra. I currently have 3 authorized users on my account as well and I was not charged extra either. The lounge at Minneapolis does not allow children in for free, so she swiped her priority pass card 5 times.

I made the same product change back in November and didn't have to do anything to get my Priority Pass cards. The CSR told me at the time of the product change they would automatically be mailed to me and I did receive them a few weeks later.

Yes, and I called the Chase number on the back of the card to get my wife (AU) her own priority pass card.

I fly exclusively SW so I use the credit for seat upgrades - early bird or A15 upgrades.

Since I don't have to select an airline like with AMEX, I'm assuming any travel incidentals will count? What about internet access on Asian carriers like BR and CX?

Effectively any non ticket charge from an airline will be refunded when you contact Chase and tell them what it is. They may ask for a receipt indicating what the charge is, but I have never encountered that.

Any data points about onboard wifi charges counting?

Is it true that you can add bags to your overall ticket purchase and that would count as the credit?

Hundreds of them.
You can scroll back a bit and see discussions of wifi charges as an example.

Have also had no problem getting first class buy-ups reimbursed as upgrades. Upgrades are explicitly allowed and that seems to include ticket price differentials.
