As of Oct 2019, offer is as follows:

  • $200 (20K UR points) for $500 spend in first 3 months.
  • No annual fees.
  • This is the best available offer since the past few years.
  • Public Application Link

What can I do with Chase Freedom Ultimate Rewards (UR) points?

  • Transfer them to a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Ink Business UR points at 1:1. If you own one of those cards, this is probably the best option for you.
  • Redeem for cash back (statement credit or to a checking account), 1 cent per UR point. So, the 20K UR points for signing up will get you $200 cash back. This is generally the default option if you do not own a Sapphire or Ink card.
  • Redeem them for various gift cards, or shop with points at Amazon.com (usually same value as cash back, eg. $25 for 2500 UR).
  • Book flights/hotels/car rental/activities through Ultimate Rewards, and pay in full or in part using points (1 cent per UR).

Can I apply for this card and earn the bonus after doing so previously?

Enjoy the extra $100.
They already replied back and gave me the 10,000 UR credit. Thanks!

Is there a number to call if you apply and they don't approve immediately to speed things up? Thanks.

I'm still holding the Freedom card from over 8 yrs now but never got any sign on bonus when I applied yrs ago. Anyone know if I could still sign up for another Freedom card now and get the sign on bonus?
Thanks as I don't want to waste a hard pull for trying and maybe not get the 2nd card with the bonus.

Found the number and settled it in two minutes. They were great.

One more question. Do you have to register for these quarterly 5X point bonuses or are the charges automatically credited? Thanks.

I'm currently married and living in NYC for last 10 yrs. as my current job is in NY, so I have a valid SSN #, but I'm a Canadian by birth and lived in Canada most of my life and go back there all the time.

Is this a Visa? I know that Chase has moved to Visa for their Ink products, so I assume it is, although the landing page linked to in the wiki here doesn't say. In fact, the Chase page for "No Annual Fee Credit Cards" has been carefully sanitized - there's no indication on the card picture as to Visa or MC.

Almost certainly. My Freedom MC of many years was recently replaced by a Visa, so I have a hard time believing they're still issuing new MC versions.

Just applied and got approved with $500 CL.
Did not think I would get approved as I just got a new WN card from Chase a few weeks back, and have over $20k CL across all Chase cards (this will be my 5th).

Except for the IHG MC, which is a co-branded card. Co-branded cards can be exceptions to Chase's "rule".

So this is pretty much a no-brainer to get? Have CSP already.
