As of Oct 2019, offer is as follows:

  • $200 (20K UR points) for $500 spend in first 3 months.
  • No annual fees.
  • This is the best available offer since the past few years.
  • Public Application Link

What can I do with Chase Freedom Ultimate Rewards (UR) points?

  • Transfer them to a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Ink Business UR points at 1:1. If you own one of those cards, this is probably the best option for you.
  • Redeem for cash back (statement credit or to a checking account), 1 cent per UR point. So, the 20K UR points for signing up will get you $200 cash back. This is generally the default option if you do not own a Sapphire or Ink card.
  • Redeem them for various gift cards, or shop with points at Amazon.com (usually same value as cash back, eg. $25 for 2500 UR).
  • Book flights/hotels/car rental/activities through Ultimate Rewards, and pay in full or in part using points (1 cent per UR).

Can I apply for this card and earn the bonus after doing so previously?

Yes, our household has gotten the 200$ offer once a week. Except it's going to a person who already got the card.

No idea what it would take to get on the target list...

There's a $300/30k UR offer out there as well. Friend just got it last month.

I hope there's another bonus soon. I would have picked up on the $200/20k offer, but I just did a round of apps. Would love to see the $300/30k come back.

Is that for the Freedom? Do you have an app or landing page link for that offer?

Would appreciate it as I'm thinking about applying for this card finally -- this would be a great starter bonus.

On a side note: what is the best current offer on the Chase Freedom?

Thanks!

Yes, the $300/30k UR offer is for the Freedom card. My friend and I have the same J.P. Morgan Private Banker (not CPC) and we apply for CCs through him; apparently they get access to the best CC offers. I know they have the CSP offer for 50k (+5k for AU) on $2k spend, vs. the public offer of 40k (+5k for AU) on $2k/$3k spend. Unfortunately, you HAVE to have a J.P. Morgan private banker for the better offers since they submit the apps on behalf of their clients.

The best current public offer on the Chase Freedom is $100/10k. I'm guessing there are better targeted offers floating around.

I'm guessing JPM Private Banker is different from my banker at my local Chase branch who wouldn't have access to this offer?

If so, I'll apply for the public offer and call to be matched to this offer anyways and see what happens. If you can get me some kinda screenshot that'd be much appreciated. PM is fine, thanks!

Yes, totally different, although it's worth dropping by a Chase branch and asking a personal banker or CPC banker what kind of offer they have for the Freedom card. I suspect if they had something better than the public offer on Chase.com we would have heard about it on this forum. Let us know how it goes.

now that I'm back in the US, stopped by my local Chase -- talked to a banker, and she just had the regular public offer ($100 or 10k).

I reckon, if I call up Chase to match me they will ask me for some kinda promo code or ID, if not a printout/screenshot. so do you think you could possibly get something like that for me (or us, the rest of the folks here) -- would be much appreciated!

I would, but unfortunately I don't have anything to share since my JPM private banker submitted the application on my behalf.

good news wasnt able to get your offer of $300 but Chase SM (Senior Service Specialist) matched me to the $200 offer on the Freedom. not sure when that promo ended (OP of this thread) but I'm happy Chase came thru in this case after the horrible experience of going thru IB recon the last cpl days.

thanks to you and this thread, otherwise I would've never even known about better offers or even thought about talking to Chase about up-matching me.

Is there any way to verify how much you've spent per quarter in the bonus categories?

$200 bonus is back. You also get $25 for adding an authorized user after their first purchase. No SSN is required by Chase for adding an authorized user as well.

I have some good news for you. Chase will match public offers/targeted offers you receive for up to 90 days/3 months. Send them a secure message.

Enjoy the extra $100.
