I see the 50K link in my mom's account, can i use that link and put in mine or my wife's account and still get the 50K bonus? I already have the card, so I doubt I will get the bonus, my wife closed down her united card back in May, will she get the 50K bonus if she apply for it again now?

That might be a waste of UR unless you really want them in your UA account. I would sign up at BCKSTGR. You get 400 UA miles from registering and they post instantly. You don't need to do any of the social media stuff.

I put some miles in my husbands account via mypoints, then put a few more points in via the United shopping mall. Couldn't get the offer to come up. Then he received the offer via snail mail. He applied and then was rejected due to too many inquiries, too many cards with Chase (he had 2), average age of accounts too short. He then called the recon line and after splitting his credit lines, was then approved.

Well my wife's account now shows the 50,000 point offer. Had tried for this offer at the start of the month with no luck. Checked a couple days ago and still no 50,000 offer. Between 12/3-12/6/2012 made four transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards at 1,000 a pop with no luck in getting the higher offer. Did a six card churn on 12/7/2012 batting six for six. For Chase portion of the churn went with the Priority card instead of the desired United. Undecided whether to just do another application now or wait three months, tho strongly leaning towards waiting three months before next application.
Watching national football game yesterday and reading Flyertalk today with both still showing 30,000 mile United offer.

After months of trying to get the 50K link, I finally got it to work. My secret? I flew a United flight last Friday and got fresh miles in my account (I hadn't flown in about 3 years and only had transferred Continental miles). Then, the offer actually showed up automatically when I logged into MileagePlus as a clickable banner ad. Filled out the form and got instant approval! Awesome!

Ah, that was easy. Applied and got instant approval. Probably helped that I hadn't applied to Chase for anything in nearly a year. Thanks to all for keeping this thread updated and informative.

instantly approved on the 21st and just now got an email to that effect and that it will be here in 5-7 business days...
Anyone know if there's a fee to expedite the shipping?

There is no fee if you have a good reason for expediting the shipping. I usually say I have a big purchase in 2-3 days and I'd love to put it on this card.

If you have already received the 5-7 day email it might be too late. You usually need to call right after the approval for them to catch it.

Finally got the 65k offer to show up after some miles from Cartera and BCKSTGR. Applied this afternoon but didn't receive immediate approval. Logged in to my Chase account few moments ago and saw a new card.

Your CO card should have been automatically converted to a UA Explorer card already.
You will not get bonus for UA card because the cut off date was July 14 2011 - i.e. anyone who applied CO card after that date is deemed to have earned the CO/UA bonus and not eligible for a 2nd one.

I have an exiting One Pass Mastercard obtained early 2012, that has been converted to a Mileage Plus Mastercard...
From the current terms and conditions:
This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time United MileagePlus Visa cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing United MileagePlus Visa cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.
The wording has changed since earlier in the year... I've never held the Visa version, so I wonder if I'm in the clear to get a 2nd bonus.

The same thing happened to me about 2 years ago. I cancelled a OnePass card and about 4 months later got an offer for another with 50k miles. I was approved for the card and denied the miles, even though I tried to convince them several times. So I would think you can't get the bonus for 2 Explorer cards.
Yes, but the only thing I've found is a 25,000 bonus for the business card.

I have read this entire thread and still can't get a definitive answer as to whether or not I'm eligible. I applied for a Continental MC, after 2011 cut off in January, it converted to United but closed it in September. Seems like some previous/current cardholders in this thread are receiving the signup bonus miles and some aren't. Should roll the dice on this offer?
