This is a little OT, but I remember during the consultations about a year ago there was a lot of talk about family pooling of miles and how the biggest gripe was how families each a lot of miles but unable to use them because each account balance was too small, etc. We were even given options to choose from as to which "type" of pooling was preferred. So I guess that was all just talk then and nothing will happen? I only remembered it because EK just announced a pooling option.

I already issued a roundtrip business Ticket from HKG to JFK, the issue date is April(which was still 145K Miles) and the travel date will be the end of August. Is anyone know if I change the date of the flight online after 6/22, do I still pay the 1K miles or $25?

Wow this new point system is really brutal.
I just booked YVR-HKG Return Premium Economy (R) for my fiancee and I and normally the number of points to upgrade us both is 60,000 asia miles. I've done this about just over half a dozen times in the past.
Now the agent tells me it will be 112,000 asia miles for my fiancee and I to get upgraded to business. Almost double the amount!
My best option is to get confirmed before June 22nd but I highly doubt that is going to happen.
