Right, which is why I was wondering if there are data points on whether there is any difference...

Any news on when this will happen and what will be the changes? I'll be waiting for this before I make any more bookings with CX.

There is no timeine or confirmed changes. This thread is purely speculation from surveys. CX hasn't confirmed any MPC changes yet. Only "real" change that's happening is the Boarding Group Trials, where SL boards with PEY (Group 3) instead of J (Group 2). GO Still boards with Group 2 (J) so I doubt there'd be any changes coming forward soon that impacts GO's value a lot, so I'd say you're safe booking with CX unless something in GO's perks mean a lot to you.

the new change should be mainly for DM benefit if i didnt get it wrong , heard that it will enhance a lot (but i dont believe it) . for GO , there is not much big change...... (if i didnt get it wrong)
DM: they want to get more money from them? but i don't think the changes will necessarily help SL: they're just devaluating this |
Another point about MPC change: I kind of hope CX has household accounts, so AM transfer fees can be waived. This is important if there’s a high-tier member in a family who can unlock redemption seats, but most of the miles from credit card belongs to another family member.

They just keep devaluating SL. They already got rid of being able to select extra legroom seats for free and extra check-in weight. Are there really too many SLs lining up in the J queue for this to be a problem that other members are complaining about?

Do credit card companies check the names between credit card and MPC ac? I recall years ago it has to match. Thanks.

SL Used to be able to select front row seats (the ones at the forward of the Y cabin, not extra legroom/bulkheads) and that was removed some time for a while now. I think CX's long term plan would be to limit lounge access to SL to solve problems of lounge crowding and overflow of SL.
