That’s great news. The camera is now light years ahead of the old one.

The IFE controls look similar to the ones on 350s. what is the “seat” icon for?

Do I spot a new amenity kit design as well?

I think CX is killing one of the most-loved feature and its biggest advantage (on hardware) over its competitors in exchange for a larger TV screen.

I think they could have made the large tv screen retractable

but I guess the footspace would be known when they test it. i saw most of the features retained from the a350.

That's interesting. How did you spot it?

Structurally the seat looks very identical to Collins aerospace Elements (Starlux + Etihad’s newer 789s)? If so that tray table mechanism tends to vibrate/wobble alot in flight unless they’ve refined it since then.

Seat controls and suite preset modes (eg movie mode, dining mode, work mode, sleep mode - each has unique settings to match the user scenario)

Yes you do indeed, we got one in the swag bag... mine in this "almost-sorta-Hermes" orange, other colours also available.

That is definitely a new design. I can spot the old trinity from Bamford. However, I don't recall the lip balm tube being that large in comparison to the lotion. I've got no idea what the other two bottles are either. Toothpaste and mouth wash from a fancy brand?

Hopefully the new amenity bag will retain its size. The current ones are handy to store travel items.

Unfortunately, the footwell situation looks much worse than on FB2. The positioning of the monitor limits the foot space in a similar way to BA's new J. The only thing that looks better than BA J is the space on the side. It's not really understandable why they would create a new J that has so much less foot space.

At risk of violating forum rules (please figure out and ‘explore’ yourself ;) ) I had the chance to see the Aria Suite and new PEY / Y products today - finishes are stunning although I definitely agree that things are more ‘evolutionary than revolutionary’.

I did not find the Aria Suite to be particularly cramped / tight- the much feared ‘losing headroom for legs’ issue turned out to be an over-worry - or at least that’s my initial thoughts upon the initial 10-20 minutes or so that I had sitting in the seats.

It does look very similar to the BA club suites. I remember the bulkheads have a wider footwell space. I guess they had to decide between size or retractability for the TV screens. At least we're not getting those two stupid storage compartments. They were tiny and made a huge sound every time you open or close them. The small closet could barely house a bottle of water.

it defeintily looks slightly worse than cirrus 3, with no infinite vertical leg space but they kept the extension from the 350, so its still quite a bit better than most recent business classes I see (though not a complete shut down anymore). hopefully I'm wrong though

Maybe the new large TV screen is too heavy to be made retractable...

It would be great if you can reserve and notified when it is your turn like the noodle bar pagers.
