There is a lottery for CX staff to attend the Aria launch event, so I guess the cat is out of the bag now:

We've seen the renders so yes, of course it's only evolutionary. But there's a lot you can do with an evolutionary seat that will make it nice. I've never really understood the affection of the Cirrus, which is getting pretty long in the tooth now.

I wish all PE cabins will have it’s own toilet

The New Aria Suite will have a seating configuration of 44 Business, 48 Premium Economy and 264 Economy which makes a total of 356 seats.

some observations on the new 777J seat map
regarding gavinchan's post above, very interesting. A few initial observations compared to 77K
1.) I'm curious how extension of Door 2 galley to A side will work in practice (77K has J class seats in both 19A and K, whereas this new 77J is only on K side) 2.) Seems like they extended J class mini-cabin farther back, and now PEY extends to the Door 3 galley. So the somewhat private, smaller Y section is now gone. https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...g-777/300.html |
Next would be fare hike in CX's planning but hopefully that will coincide with more capacity dump among competitors :D.

Retrofitted 777 seating plan with Aria Suite and new Premium Economy cabins May I have your source here? Is this your DIY work? |

Is this your DIY work? https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...debe0602dd.jpg 'Benefit of the doubt' rule suggests this could of course be a hurried and obviously incomplete mockup from CX internal, but by the same token it could also be disappointingly more like 'fake news' (or just downright false information, deliberately created to deceive). |
Are they converting the 297 seats planes to 354 seat plane?

I have seen the internal LOPA and this looks broadly correct. At a glance, seat count is marginally off by a couple and the position of some of the monuments is different.

The male is on the left on the left hand side lavatory but it is on the right on all the other lavatory. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ecd660f1db.png The knife is on the left on the left hand side gallery while it is on the right on all the other gallery. |

Higher J and PE loading is more interesting new to me than the new seat.
You can see there are 6 rows of PE from the promotion video released earlier this year. |
