I think you’re missing it

To me, “upon entering our cabins” means at the door, not at your seat.

totally agree
really brainless design - they are just sending more people to call them to clog up their lines.

There were rumours of a lifetime program announcement in September (post 96 in the old thread, for example). As we are now into October, does anyone have any updates on those rumours?

Seems like those posts are specifically towards those who were previously Invitation members.. Perhaps they were just being converted to a new Lifetime status within Cathay...

Some of it definitely did seem like that, yes. If this was just about Marco Polo lifetime —> Cathay lifetime, it would presumably be easily confirmed that those conversions have now been communicated and this would manage (downward) any hopes of a lifetime revival.

This is why I’m wondering about any updates.

I'm with you...

Cathay have said next to nothing about the major changes that are supposed to be coming, but are making firm statements about not bringing back lifetime status.

There's also no news on any reduced thresholds for status, so chasing Diamond seems near-impossible.
