Yes.

Fully refundable via the Twitter DM team.
A friend canceled 3 of theirs recently, full refund.

Interested in your experience. Can you share more details on the steps? Was the Twitter team contacted first to confirm cancellation fee ($300 according to T&C) can be waived then reservation to give directly the say way? Considering canceling so appreciate any insights.

The twitter team quoted me a $300 cancellati:eek:n fee. We're booked into A. It's only $100 to change the dates...

I was able to change the date of YVR-HKG-HAN booked in A as well as the city of departure. Leaving from JFK instead of YVR on CX865. All for $100 USD per person.

Find this very hard to believe.

Agent was very kind about it. She put me on hold, found inventory in A, and changed the date for me, as well as the city of departure.

Was this booked directly with CX or via a travel agent?

I booked via an OTA, I was hoping to change from HKG-HAN to HKG-DAD, but figured they wouldn't entertain it.

CX waived cancellation fee

I direct message Cathay Pacific twitter asking about the possibility to waive the cancellation fee ($300 per ticket), which they happily agreed.

I booked my ticket directly with CX. I called to change our return from SFO-HAN to SFO-BKK and was told I can not do it...well I can, but it would be a total change of fare which is really expensive...for $100 I can change the date, but not the city.

That's how changes usually work. Your ticket is for a city pair, so switching cities would result in a new ticket and new pricing.

Well thats what I thought but @shayaanl stated in post 514 they were able to change their city....?

Interesting... guess they got really lucky with an agent? No other way to explain it really.

After departure rerouting triggers re-issuing tickets using HISTORICAL fare. So leaving from another US city where the promo fare covers is okay, while changing to BKK is not
