Part 1



As I posted in the Special Meals thread, I ordered VOML - Vegetarian Oriental.
The Supper meal was excellent, but I skipped the congee portion of the breakfast VOML.

I also had the cheese plate and some snacks. The person sitting across the aisle let me take photos of his snacks as well. He slept through the main meal services, so the mid-flight food were his meals.

Nothing beat CX for offering proper PDB, you know, real champagne (unlike the competition on the route)

I really like the quince paste on the cheese plate as well as the flavourful cheese selection.

A little underwhelmed by this signature drink, Pacific Sunrise. Not nearly as good as the one on previous CX 829/826.

Excellent burger. Much better tasting beef and bun ex-YYZ than ex-HKG. No fries ex-YYZ though.

CX has a great selection of packaged snacks.

The strawberry, kiwi, banana smoothie was great. Croissant - excellent. As noted, skipped the hot position of my VOML (congee).

Part 1


In the Special Meals thread, I already posted a description of the VOML I had.

As for the other items...the mid-flight burger and fries were ok. The burger itself was not nearly as good (taste of burger and bun) as the one served on the outbound CX 829 from YYZ. Different country origin of beef and prep perhaps.

The fries were actually a bit disappointing. There were just a few and they really didn't have any flavour (perhaps that's what the ketchup was for). I only say that as comparison to the mid-flight burger and crispy, tasty potato wedges served on BR (yes, I have photos :D )

Moving along....I enjoy looking in the packaged snack collection as CX does offer such a unique and interesting mix of items. These two plus the ones I posted upthread for my CX 829 flight.
