I'm flying the KA951 which I think does not have a first class (it didn't when I flew last year) and it was a joke of a J cabin (pretty bad food, non-flat reclining seat, etc).
I have the same flight coming up soon and I'm really hoping it will be better this time, but I doubt it.
My reservation is a first class ticket so it's really a shame that KA does not have a first class for this route.

USA First Class domestic.... I wouldn't even call them Premium Economy, more like Economy Plus, nothing premium about these jokers. No wonder nobody wants to pay for them....

And some do pay for it if they can't get it guaranteed for free... as is often the case of some of the peak flights. It's not a bad product compared to the seating on European domestic premium. Service is good. Alcohol is free. What more is there for a flight of a couple hours?

i always fly economy when I fly within US because nothing is really worth paying for except maybe LA to NYC (too long for economy)
but do you think they may have upgraded the cabin since I've been there?
last time i tried it, my seat hardly reclined and it was more similar to economy than first class.

even some of the other asian airlines like JAL and CX seem to not do this.

The a320 is pretty bad. Limited recline... just two rows in a tiny cabin. But seat width is still there... only 2-2 instead of 3-3. (And economy/coach on the a320s is particularly bad!!)

38" is the pitch of CX's economy plus.

Premium economy is a separate product on CX, at 38'.
