www.cbsnews.com has live video feed from the crash site. It looks tragic. My prayers go out to all on board.

The 401 runs parallel to this runway on the south side of the airport. It appears the plane has come to rest at the foot of Etobicoke Creek - there is a ravine at the end of this runway.

Eyewitnesses are reporting that yes, passengers are walking away from the airport and ending up on the 401. Highway has been closed westbound.

eyewitness is relating that a lightning strike hit the aircraft, it lost power as it was landing, and it slid into the ditch. Said the pilot did quite a job to keep the plane in some control.

Eyewitness is from an aviation company.

eyewitness is saying that the fire didn't start immediately--went into the ditch and then the fire started.

CFRB (www.cfrb1010.com) reporting no reports of serious injuries as of yet... injuries are those which could be attributed to "impact" only.

CFRB radio is apparently reporting that there are survivors. They are reporting that a girl/woman aboard the flight called her uncle from the ground saying she was ok and that she thinks there are other survivors. She said the fire started in the middle of the plane and she was near the front.

I didn't see any signs of life on the EYES MTO shots, but hopefully it's true.
CTV still stated a few moments ago under one of the pics that it is a 737.

The local CTV talking head here in YYZ also recently noted that jet fuel is very flammable.
