Many of you know this already, but worth pointing out that the extra points grocery offers vary between stores and therefore between delivery addresses. I was after wine with extra points yesterday and found some in one branch with no extra points but noticed the same bottles in another with 200 bonus points each. Likewise, the website list of what's on offer changes depending on the home store nearest the delivery address.

My first thought was that this account offers a cr*p rate of 1.25%.

But the T and C's state that to receive the 1,500 points, the acount must show a cleared balance of £10,000 on October 7th , 2009.

So open now with £1 and deposit £10,000 on October 6th and withdraw on October 8th !

'Cleared' balance, so you need to move the money earlier. But, yes, this would work.

"The Clubcard points promotion is only available to new customers and limited to one account per person" ...So presumably no points for those who, like me, opened and closed a Tesco account two or three years ago (or was it longer?) to take advantage of the similar promotion back then?

I take that to mean customers who don't have an existing account, not those who had one and closed it.

clubcard number?

I think the savings account sounds like a reasonable deal - my problem is that I have long forgotten my clubcard number and lost my card- I never use the card in store but buy wine etc online where they don't ask for the number. I can't be bothered having multiple accounts so I would like to use my current number - problem is I can't find it on the website after I have logged in - the 'my account' place would seem to be the obvious one but it isn't there. Any suggestions from the experts?

They changed the website. However, if you look under the Entertainment tab (don't ask) and click My Account then Clubcard Details you see the last four digits. Not sure how you get the full number without ringing. Or simply pick up a new card instore.

The full account number appears on your quarterly statement....

Good offer and worth moving a few thousand to cover the qualifying date. However:

Correction: It now gives the Instant Access Account.

Delay in points crediting to Clubcard account?

Since last Saturday, I have shopped a couple of times, including a few bottles of not bad champagne that did not register the 800 bonus points, which prompted the usual minor debate at Customer Services........

I have just checked my balance on the tesco website and the balance has not changed. Has anyone else noticed this?

I shall be keeping all of my receipts just in case!
