Great to meet some of you today. Here are some food photos. I ordered a VLML in both directions but got the standard veggie option from the menu both times. Worth considering if you are in the last few rows. Only complaint - was not offered pastries with breakfast but got a warm bread roll on the return.

If a book a flight and car for 5-7 days through BAH to SOF (with SOF-LHR nested return) do I have to actually go to the car rental desk at SOF airport to make sure I get the double TPs, or can I just go to the lounge to catch the return flight for my B2B? Don't want to lose out on the double TP offer. What are others' experiences?
Ask me in a few weeks but I'm reliably informed it should be ok.

We’re back! Early start for my first Sofia holiday this morning. Actually travelling with bags this time!
TFW easy this morn & GF relatively quiet. Bus gate (grrr A bloody 10!) to arguably the furthest stand in the world 😅 but boarding completed on time!
30 mins later we took off. This is when I noticed no pillows or blankets on the flight 😟 Crew said it’s because there are too many CE.. I thought to myself “it’s only 12 rows…” but he pulled one out of a locker so I kept quiet.
Special Meals quickly sent out, followed by meals on wheels trolley & then drinks. My charcuterie looked different this time (see below) and different to my seatmates. Other crew have been better at keeping me lubricated, but they always delivered a chilled Bucks Fizz when asked. Club Basket from the back to the front this time, wasn’t much left when it got to me 🥲
Touch down now & ready to finally explore the city! I see the Christmas Markets have started too 🎄Soon on way to Intercon, where I definitely deserve a massage!
✈️ 11 down, 3 to go.

Great to meet some others from here yesterday - i thought it was a great crew and pretty seamless B2B (although it was my first!) - can highly recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice in the lounge which is easily doable in the 30 mins you have from deplaning to boarding.

I didn't take a picture as my microscope wasn't handy. There wasn't enough on the plate to cover a bee's knee. However, that suited me as I was feeling bloated from the lounge breakfast. All jokes aside, I am nearly always very pleased with CE meals.

Pre-flight message from me:
Feels weird coming in from Sofia Landside today 😂 Great mini-break in Sofia checking out the sights, the Christmas markets & the alcohol (note to self: I don’t like Rakia). Reflecting with some fresh OJ in the lounge (aspire here is pretty terrible, isn’t it?) …
Loved the Intercon and for anyone staying I, like everyone else, fully recommend. We were well looked after, especially in the Club, the rooms were a great size & the free alcohol (and food!) helped keep me warm in Sofia! Each day we’d have the place to ourselves for breakfast too.
Spa & massage all top notch, a well needed rub down after 20k+ steps each day. Club room stays get a late check out of 4pm, so today we grabbed a late breakfast (til 11.30am in the Lounge but they don’t kick you out even if you arrive at 11:33..) and a little spa time before we left the hotel at 2pm to get to SOF.
As big gin fans the location is perfect, with The Gin House a walk away & free gin tasting by some lovely waitresses.
The hotel concierge organised excellent dinners for us, traditional at the Izbata Tavern & highbrow Japanese at Himachi Ni. We also had dinner at Floret, before donating our remaining BGN to the casino next door (made it to a new gold card - see pic!).
Immigration was easy & soon we’ll head to the gate. CE is only 7 rows (they got it easy today!). If anyone is on the 891 today, give us a nod on the way back (row 1, you’ll know it’s me..).
