SOF B2B Meet Up Thread

With lots of forumites booked on to the LHR-SOF-LHR or nested flights (on one of my trips there are 16 rows of CE and I'm certain FT is to blame!) I wondered how a Wiki could be started, so those who wish to share dates can?

Best,
TPRun

Very starnge, I was just searching for SOF B2B earlier.

Was trying to see if I could out from EDI with a 5 night car and come back the same day which was possible on 30/11 but I couldn't get a an EDI back to SOF in C to tie the dates up.

Thread watching....

Is there any possibility of providing a translation into English?

Sorry, I may have overwritten you whilst 'in edit'.
I may have gone a little crazy with the dates; instead, maybe better people 'copy paste' where necessary.

I'm moderately embarrassed that I haven't even passed the 90 post mark in order to edit the wiki - oh the shame!

My dates are 23 Nov, 30 Nov, 4 Dec and 7 Dec.

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but for those of you doing multiple TP run to Sofia within the month of November, is this the best way to actually earn TP compared to a multi leg transatlantic run? Are you sandwiching in multiple BA Holidays with Car Rental for example and thus having cross-cross tickets to achieve that? Just curious. I have done SOF last year as a TP run short holiday and would happily return in the future but would not want to go so often to the same place just for TP runs

I would have loved to do a long distance run, having done the big Bucharest to Phoenix trip where there was a pool party at the hotel in PHX (the mid point of all flights) & it was so much fun. I chose to do this many Sofia trips because a) I live close to LHR and can get to the airport and back with ease/low cost, b) it was overall cheaper for me to book 6 x nested B2Bs + 1 long weekend in Sofia than a transatlantic run (No need for cabs, hotels, time coming in/out of airports around the world etc) - £0.96p per tier point for gold.

You not doing them as a holiday (car or hotel) to get the Double Points?

I'm not. 1) Not smart enough to plan that much ahead 2) I offset some of the bookings by spending avios to part-pay for each trip, so it kept the price considerably low.

Added my mini-TP run from EDI-LHR-SOF with my wife, it's the first time my wife has flown just so I can get TPs to get back to Gold before my card expires at the end of Nov.

Spending the night in Sofia was the only way, she didn't fancy a B2B, which I'm glad I'm not doing as I reckon a day/night in Sofia should be a lovely way to spend a weekend!
