If you do make it abroad this year, count yourself lucky. Roll on 2022.
Doomed for Hooligan behaviour, yes, but Covid no. We have one of the lowest COVID rates in Europe and one of the highest Vaccination rates globally.....a few football fans didn't make the difference.

While checking the latest on entry to Denmark I noticed that for double vaccinated entrant from 'orange' countries with Schengen no tests or quarantine were required, however for those double vaccinated from none EU/Schengen orange the test/quarantine rules still applied....surely if you're double vacc'd and can prove it, it makes no odds which 'Orange' country you are travelling from.

Thats more an EU rule....as in they cant say no to EU travellers due to discrimination rules.

Thats good to hear. I hear you and hope the influx of brits hasn’t caused any uptick in numbers certainly not for sake of a football game. I do think it’s was daft regardless and without a doubt political but that’s by the by.

Really ?

"Multiple flights carrying Chelsea and Manchester City fans returning from the Champions League Final have reported passengers testing positive for coronavirus.Fans have been told via the NHS Test and Trace app to self-isolate for seven days.

Posting on one fan forum, passengers reported as many as five flights organised by Manchester City for the match against Chelsea have been affected."

isnt that a Brexit myth ? I thought EU countries *could* close their borders to anyone (including EU citizens from other member states) in a health emergency…?

They can and they have. The level of travel restrictions into Schengen and within Schengen during the pandemic was a patchwork of different approaches.

Folks, we are way off topic. There may be people visiting this thread who are seeking help on what BA’s response is, and it’s really unhelpful to have it dominated by off-topic material more suited to OMNI.

Focus, please.

Trying my best here

Availability for flights to LIS this weekend seems to have gone up significantly, though the afternoon flights still look reasonably packed (Y9B6). Some of the seat maps also look emptier than they were yesterday.

Last year BA were very proactive. I think so far just one extra Cityflyer flight from Faro on Sunday and Monday (sold out) but I would imagine they'll add more

Well if anyone is planning on sliding back in early but doesn't have a seat yet they'll be lucky to get one, or paying a lot for it.....

I am about to cancel a J ticket on the sold out 4.25pm BA CityFlyer flight to LCY on Sunday, happy to try to co-ordinate timing if any FTer is in need.

BA are already canceling flights. My return from FNC has been labeled as "subject to disruption".
