The sun always seems to be in my eyes heading south so I generally drive from Los Angeles up to San Francisco given the choice but am jealous of your road trip none the less. That PCH sure is a thing of beauty irrelevant of which direction youre going.

Edit: for some reason I read this as a daytime arrival into HEL, followed by an overnight. I'd be straight to the Hilton, which is within walking distance (no shuttle needed).

there are sleeping pods at airport but also Hilton right outside the terminal. 100 euro isnt bad for good 7 hours kip
