List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)
This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.
Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

They have a decent selection of sparkling wines, the best is probably the Hattingley Valley BA100 Blanc de Noirs which is actually very nice IMO. There are bottles of the usual Canard Duchene Champagne languishing in the fridges that used to be home to the Beers/Soft Drinks but they appear to be purely decorative...

The Aspire lounge opposite was open, but no access for BA, unless you have a Priority Pass or equivalent.

Like the catering, I believe that the lack of lounge openings is more driven by cost saving rather than the need to ensure safety.
My flight back from GLA already has 12 seats taken in CE a few days out.
12 passengers and the card holders who will be denied access to the lounge.
For what reason do the outstation lounges, especially the BA operated ones, remain closed?

I realize that opening up a lounge costs a good chunk of money even if nobody shows up. Flat fees to contractors, electricity bill, wage bill of lounge dragons, etc. So I understand they keep outstation lounges with few premium/status pax closed as they simply cannot justify the expenses.
But I'm wondering when they will find some sort of solution for the outstations.
I'm somewhat optimistic--BA is doing a great job at the LHR lounges. Basically, I imagine that once the summer holiday travel period is over, their business will depend disproportionally much on premium and status pax. (Yesterday, IHG--not an airline but also in the travel sector--claimed that its most loyal customers are the first ones to return.)
And I feel there should be some sign of appreciation for those premium cabin pax and elites. Maybe they can't justify opening the lounge, but what about giving out a small restaurant voucher? Or granting entry to another lounge? (I guess the later is feasible only if the alternative lounge isn't operated by a competing airline. You clearly wouldn't want to show loyal BA pax that a LO or AF lounge ain't so bad, either.)

That is offset by bookings. Especially premium ones.
Without the latter, the expenditure is fruitless.
Offering premium seats and then only a portion of the product seems a self-defeating proposition.
Playing the "it's for your own good" card will very quickly wear thin on passengers in a highly competitive market.

My last flight at the weekend, the crew made an announcement for Economy basically saying you're only getting water etc and cited "safety" as the reason. While they probably meant the safety of the crew", it didn't come across like that and I could hear grumblings from behind me. Yes, these are difficult times but more can be done..

NCE, ATH and FCO for example now have an increased number of flights per day and most restaurants/bars in the terminals are open. It's just cost saving - same as the CE, CW and F meal boxes.
