List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

Has anyone asked them on Twitter(I'm not a member) to clarify the Law and or restriction that prevents them from opening ?

I’m not sure that is going to serve any purpose, all we need to know as passengers is if a lounge is open or not.

I’m sure the Twitter and call centre staff are busy enough trying to assist passengers trying to travel rather than wasting time on answering questions or entertaining legal arguments related to UK legislation upon which they are unqualified to answer.

I am at T5 now and can confirm lounges and stores are closed , with the exception of Pret, WHSmith and Fortnum & Mason (the store, not the bar).

Pret very busy and will be making some decent ££.

Is Duty Free open? I would imagine not as it is hardly essential.

Even if they were allowed, on the grounds of cost I'm sure they would keep them shut, since loads of staff have been furloughed for the month to reduce the amount of cash BA are burning.

I don't think they are mandated to close - but they may do due to lack of demand.

Which is fine, but they should acknowledge it rather than unfairly blame it on HMG’s restrictions which explicitly state that airside lounges don’t have to close.

The closure of the lounges is a result of much lower passenger numbers, which is a result of Government restrictions. So whilst the closures might not be a direct result of the restrictions, it is pretty closely linked.

Am I reading that right? BLAND Ltd? Appropriate name for a caterer! And the last sentence really is overdoing it, in the 'you've been served' manner.

Now that state furlough pay has been extended to March 2021, there is no incentive to open under utilised lounges

Agree. The language used is an appropriate use of cause and effect. It's not "we are not allowed to operate our lounges".

The grievances over language come across as a bit precious. It reminds me of those that complain about the way something was handled, eg being dumped..., and not the message, when invariably we all know it is the message that's the problem.

Bland is quite a big Gibraltar based transport/conglomerate group. They used to own GBAirways that later operated as a BA franchise before being sold to Easyjet. I thought that they had gone completely, but see that they still operate, but no longer own an airline.

I particularly like how the third party lounge operator has apparently placed this letter (rather than a notice) at reception for all to see.

And despite saying 'Waterside' it appears to have been sent from Cracow.
