Depends on what part of SCOTLAND you’re talking about - Aberdeen perhaps, as even I can’t understand them. Hopefully Stu1985 isn’t tuning in :p

Not to mention those folk what talk funny from Scotland. ;)
This is why we should always note it as Glasgow, Scotland so as not to get confused with Glasgow, Ill. We don’t want people booking seats to STL in error. |

Damn, home do and I’m away (got tickets for Liverpool v Burnley). If the date of the match changes I’ll come.
As much as I love these events, this is not a game to be missed. |

Saturday LBA - LHR - GLA on the 1488 Hotel wise - looking at the IHG Indigo and the IHG Grand Central, both available on points. Anybody got any views on which one to choose? |

Booked and looking forward to the evening!

I would wait until the venue is confirmed before booking a hotel.
From the merchant city to west end is only 10 mins and £10-12 in a cab. Fri/sat in merchant city I would be looking at a hotel locally because of the number of people l ooking for a cab may mean a wait or a walk and there are not many decent hotels in easy walking distance. In the city centre and 5-10 mins walk from merchant city is Abode. Good rooms. In West end ther is Hilton Grosvenor. Near my house so know the area. Merchant city can be wild but I like that. :-). Finnieston is somewhere that many may wonder what it is all about but it is a very nice area for a really really great night out. The west end is one street and Ashton lane is a good spot. Upstairs at the chip may be bookable. In my opinion, when in Glasgow, you must sample the best local food and that is a really great curry. Better than anywhere in the UK. I like Balbirs in church Street and mother India. |

The Grand Central is much more of an iconic hotel.

Another damn... a local do, and it clashes with the good lady's birthday and Simple Minds at the Hydro...
