Glasgow Do - Saturday 25th April 2020, Merchant City *Postponed*
Hi All
Inspired by others who have hosted do's in Gibraltar , Leeds, London, Phoenix and other far flung locations I have decided with the help of JCM9000 and a few others to set up a do here in my hometown of Glasgow. Venue Venue has been confirmed!! Bar Square in Glasgow Merchant Square 5 Bell St, Glasgow G1 1NU https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...da&oe=5E8E414D Venue is a large courtyard style bar with good beer, gin & spirits selection and for those looking for bubbles they also have Moet & Bollinger BUT more importantly all at Glasgow prices :-) Merchant Square is an excellent central location and an excellent starting point with lots of other food and drink options nearby, the bar itself also has a decent food selection Venue has been booked and look forward to seeing you all there :-) Transport For those flying up there is plenty of flights from LHR, LGW and if you fly the night before LCY also. Edinburgh airport is also an hour by a very frequent bus service from door to Glasgow City Centre if it helps with availability.
Hotels: There are various Hilton Hotels (Hilton Glasgow, Hilton Grosvenor, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Hampton Inn, Hilton DoubleTree). Marriott, Moxy, Radisson Blu, Raddison Red, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn etc to cater for all tastes and loyalty programs. |

Having gone to do’s in Phoenix & Gib it would be mad not to go to this one as it’s on my doorstep, even though there’ll be no tier points on this one, I’ll be there!
|
Count me in too, good to see something close to home

Count myself & Mrs BLHD in!
|
Oh!! I tend to try and get back in April. I am definitely interested in this one. If I can get the time off, I’ll most definitely be trying to get to this!
|
Knew you’d choose that date, always when I’m flying back or back in Kingdom!
|
Barring being forced to work somewhere I'll be there. Any location useful for me because I'm a "Wendy".
I'll even polish my glass eye. |

I'm in too.
Saturday LBA - LHR - GLA on the 1488 On Sunday I'm going to take a look around Glasgow during the day, leaving at 20.35 on the 1497, overnight at LHR then the 1344 back to LBA. Hotel wise - looking at the IHG Indigo and the IHG Grand Central, both available on points. Anybody got any views on which one to choose? I'm so indecisive when it comes to hotels. And food. And most things, come to think of it. Thanks for organising cgtechuk |

For the first time in actually in the city that is hosting the DO!
Unfortunately the reason I'm there that night is a family members birthday dinner. Hope you all have a lovely night and fingers crossed for another time. |

I think I can drag myself all the way over to the west coast so count me in.
I'll be on the X24 bus on Saturday, returning home the next. |
Damn, home do and I’m away (got tickets for Liverpool v Burnley). If the date of the match changes I’ll come.
|
Luckily will be in GLA that weekend - I’d be interested too. Flying up from LGW.
|
Another Damn here! Leaving for the USA on the Monday. :(
|
Another damn here - shame I can't make it. Flying back from Canada that weekend. Hope you all have fun in Glasgow and see you at another do!
