Thumbs down Screwed out of Avios by AGODA

I booked a hotel on Agoda, signed up for their PointsMax scheme with my BA number and....no Avios. I sent a claim to BA with the booking receipt, they declined it and said I had to speak to Agoda. I did, and they told me that my membership field was "blank" - an obvious lie, I was looking at the screen myself. So they're not giving my the Avios (which were the only reason I booked through their site). Has anyone else experienced this?

Sadly. It but Ask Agoda for a GDPR request to show all the information they have on you including but not limited to internet entries and keystrokes you performed when booking with them.

FWIW, I've made several bookings with Agoda over the last couple of years (but only ever used them when they were competitive) and never had a problem with the Avios turning up eventually.

I don't see why it would be a problem even if it was blank. They should be able to credit retrospectively. The OP should just give them the number and ask them to credit the points, stating specifically that this was the reason that he had gone through them in the first place.

Believe me, I tried. Their call desk was just "sorry, nothing we can do". Completely crap service.
