The fare is gone, but BA1 on the 2/8 is still showing I0 so it doesn't look like anyone else will be able to join us on the Babybus, regardless of a new fare being filed.

Of course Rev Mgmt could always change that.

FTers take up 10/32 seats on that plane (or more, if there are lurkers). No idea what the load factor will be, but even if full, is 1/3 of a plane an FT record?

I reckon some of those TLL planes were pretty well stocked with FTers!

EF shows 12 seats occupied on that flight. Obviously we don't know how many more are sold but currently don't have anyone allocated (people without status, TA bookings, etc.) but it's showing J9 so at the very least there are 9 unsold seats meaning worst case scenario we are 44% of the load.

Welcome @Selador, thanks for un-cloaking I've added your flight details to the Wiki. That makes 11 of us on BA1 - or just over 1/3 of the aircraft. I hope they've remembered to stock up well on food and beverages…

Certainly the back 3-4 rows were FTers on the trips I did But that's still 'only' about 25% of the aircraft...

I've not selected a seat on BA1 yet, as the window seats near the front have all gone. I assume I can blame that on everyone who got in first

Now, which seat to pick? Who will be the best seat-mate for 8+ hours LCY-SNN-JFK...?

So it looks like the BA1 I was booked on for 5th July has been cancelled/removed from the schedule – got a “Your seat has been changed” email from BA which I didn’t quite understand at first, but when I went into MMB the flight has moved from Friday to Sunday that week, which is not terribly helpful – I’ll need to be moved to an ex-LHR service on the Friday, which is not the end of the world (but a shame)

In checking the schedule for that day on EF and on ba.com the BA1 has disappeared so must not be operated.

Problem is this does not seem to have filtered through to AA properly as the booking there now shows me on the BA1 on both the Friday and the Sunday (and in BA MMB, they have simply moved the booking from Friday to Sunday).

Does anyone have past experience of this – I need to call AA rather than BA right? (it’s 001 plated obviously). Presumably AA be able to move me onto either BA or AA services ex-LHR on the Friday? (I would guess they can given it’s the Joint Business).

I was due to fly BA 1 on 4th July and had the exact same - it looks like it is cancelled all that week.

My ticket is a BA one (125-) so I was hoping I might be able to use the rebooking guidelines to move this to an autumn trip, but I think the same fare class needs to be available if moving it more than 14 days forward, and there seems to be zero I class availability on BA2 for the Sundays in October and November. Will have to look at the different options.

It's not that easy to get to the East coast for a grand in CW, so can potentially be used as the basis for an actual stay (perish the thought!).

My routing is as below, I'll set up a wiki too..

I couldn't squeeze out the full 680 TPs which are theoretically available, seems I hit some limit or other as the pricing is trebled after you press the "pay" button. If you're playing with the fare, it will price via bookwithmatrix all the way through into the AA website, but there is a reprice at the last moment. The way of knowing whether this will happen or not is to look at whether there is a flight network price on the first page of bookwithmatrix. If there is a price, AA will be OK. If not, the fare will be repriced. As of just now (when I checked) this routing was pricing OK.

My routing avoids overnighting in New York which is a little expensive, and it gets me onto the top deck of a 747 on the way back, which I've never done so looking forward to that. You can start in GOT (or open jaw between GOT and ARN I think) and can also route back through PHL or BOS. I think you can get both HEL shuffles plus a maximum of three internal US flights, that seemed to be the limit I hit. In principle you can take a standard LHR flight over instead of the babybus which might give you more options (some possibility the Shannon hop is confusing the transfer limit calculation on the babybus).

I like that price! Any idea what period those fares are valud for?

This post should have the fare rules for the fare https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30506836-post4971.html

Yes, and unfortunately it includes the following:

TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 31 DEC 18.
So unless this has been re-filed (@KARFA?) I'm afraid this one has gone @Will100...

Just to follow up on my own post in case anyone finds it helpful in future - I sent a direct message to AA via Twitter with my name and record locator and briefly describing the issue - they responded with some alternate options, I chose one and I was rebooked within a few minutes. Such an easy process!

Now routing AA39 LHR-MIA and then connecting to MCO (to then turn around a few hours later and head back to MIA), which is probably a more sensible routing for the same TPs I would have received anyway.
