beside the flight was Delayed then for more then an hour, It was an asolutley Desaster. Nothing to compare on Lufthansa, Air France, Swiss, Emirate etc. its absolutley Not Worth of the Money and the Miles.imread quite some Feedback on BA First But i couldnt believe It as Long as i made the experience on my Own. And nothing to compare ice the ground experience like on Lhufthansa or Air France First Class.
Speaking of Emirates, here's a view from one of the passengers who recently travelled first class to singapore...Poor First Class Experience With Emirates

"I booked a ticket to Singapore in first class (round trip.) I wanted to change the travel dates online but the system insisted that I visit the nearest Emirates office. In addition to paying the full price of first class ticket I had to incur additional charges such as parking fees (in Kuwait) and taxi fees (visit the office in Singapore) just to change my travel dates. To add insult to injury the B777-300ER to Singapore had the old ICE (not touch-screen.) On the way back to Dubai in first class I asked for a hot chocolate but it took them some time to prepare it. They blamed the delay on the malfunctioning machine. Furthermore, I had to wait over 20 minutes just to order breakfast. When I asked the cause of the delay they mentioned that it takes time to heat the meal! When I ran back to the galley to ask for sugar for my second hot chocolate I found 5 or 6 cabin crews having a meal and chatting with each other rather than looking after first class passengers."

Absolutely its all about the crew. Believe or not my best ever flight was on an AA 757 J class from BRU to JFK. However the single flight attendant for the cabin just worked to hard and was so friendly with it. It was an absolute pleasure.

I agree BA F is very variable. For me its never been 'bad' but as many say sometimes just feels like good business class and not the luxury product you expect it to be.

Yeah, most ridiculous complaint, very entertaining thread.

Before you get too excited, the oldest ICE is actually a touch screen, just a very poor quality one, however there are still two additional controllers, one of which is a big touch screen tablet, and the IFE selection still has over 3000 movies and TV shows + live TV to chose from. And the champagne is cold.

you would nt accept an ‘oh well, it’s inconsistent’ if you had this risk when buying a car - as Jaguar found out in the 70s/early 80s. 30-40 years on
look how many Mercedes there are now vs Jags. In the long run inconsistent poor product gets found out.
Agree 100%. Especially when it comes to cars.

It’s not. BA011/12 (the 380 service to SIN only) is operated by Worldwide. The BA15/16 (the 777 service to SYD via SIN) is operated by MF.

+1 to that!

Do any airlines has have a consistent F product? I fly ANA quite a bit, and it seems F (the 'First Square' seat/suite) is consistent across the fleet.

Thank you!
I didn't get the distinction when I then looked it up in the MF routes thread.

Indeed. I have travelled both and I can't say that there is any systematic difference in my experience either way.

There also used to be specific SIN-based crew which was great because the pool was small enough that you'd know them over time but this has been discontinued.

Unfortunately, I disagree. F is not my main cabin but I still fly it regularly. The good crew well outnumber the bad ones, but equally, the bad crew experiences are by no means a one off. They do happen.

Well most regular users of EK forum know that poster well. I think the 'lotion' thread probably goes down in history as the EK forum equivalent of 'printing and breakfast'. Plus what was stated by the poster was (as is usual) complete nonsense, the poster just declined to make the changes by phone.

However as far as BA F is concerned. I don't think any airline gets it right 100% of the time. There are too many pressures on aircraft, crew, airports etc for it to be 100% success. I could go to virtually any forum on FT and find a 'poor F experience' thread.

Bottom line....the 'F is worse than J' line is just as (un)believable as the 'I've flown BA 100 times this year and it has always been perfect' type posts you see sometimes. Neither has much credibility. Over time you get what you pay for - expectations should be realistic based on what BA charges for F - this is not private jet with butler type stuff.

I don't know but my JAL F experiences have never ever been subpar. It's consistently amazing. Well worth the 120k oneway redemption LHR-HND

I'm very surprised by this Chan, as my experiences (albeit very limited) with the crew in First have been very good to outstanding on each occasion. Good mix of formality and banter (with a bias on the latter for the younger members of staff). Perhaps, as the others have said, the crew were simply having a bad day, but no excuse I agree.

Not sure what the point of this statement is in relation to the first class experience. If a flight is delayed, it affects all classes - whether economy, premium econ, business or first.

The A380 F window suites are excellent, and far better than the narrow 747 F seat. On the other hand, nothing beats a 747 UD J window seat
