To coincide with its arrival for sure. But theoretically can still be XWBA while XWBB goes to Dubai. I’m sure BA don’t care what particular frame goes to Madrid, just that crews need training.

It's MADness I tell you....Interesting that they have already published the dates in Oct., thanks Raffles for posting the info, much appreciated. ^ (I had heard the rumour that there would be training dates in Oct. as well but was waiting to see/hear if there was any other substance to help corroborate the news....looks like the FTer that whispered that to me was correct...thank you for that and you know who you are! )

So, given the news, I've updated the wiki accordingly with an Oct. calendar for those that like this format better when trying to think of when to book, etc...I've also updated the graphics to reflect the below posts...thanks for sharing your flights and hope you have a great time onboard this suite aircraft!

Done...although not sure how lucky 13 will be for a PARTY PLANE!

Well, you guys certainly snuck that one under the radar...probably hoping it would go unnoticed... As I couldn't update the wiki with your graphic before your flight, here it is (in addition to the archived post)...(I don't tend to like using a descending plane for the negative connotations it can have in graphics but as this should be safely landed now...I made an exception... Enjoy!

Anyone else care to join the MADness? Now more availability as Oct. week now added...(also Oct. dates added to the wiki for those that like to plan ahead and want to share their plans...)

13 on the party plane on the 25th....last big event before the potential return in Oct....you know what to do....

Could I’ve a real pain and switch mine to 5 Oct out on the BA462 (777) and back on the 465 for some A350 Madness.. Didn’t seem to be a charge to change the Avios booking online either and e-ticket number in the new booking.. Glad I get to have some fun still and this weekend is looking tricky for travel for other reasons.

Having found it impossible to make any of this month”s training flights it’s great for me to see the October dates and so I’ve booked a B2B on 464/465 for the 5th. Nice to be able to redeem Avios at off-peak rates for these and hopefully it’ll be another Saturday night party plane!

No problem, done. ^ (removed from the 25th flights and now on the 5th on the same flights) Glad you could change them and free up this weekend, otherwise it would be MADness!

I have put you down for the 460 on the 5th (if it is the 777) rather than the 462 you posted above...please do check and let me know if it should indeed be the 462.@:-)

That's great news that this works out for you. ^ I have every confidence that the Sat. flights will prove very popular and may indeed be a PARTY PLANE. Watch this space as it may take some time for the MADness to build!

Excellent. Great to have you join in. Enjoy!

Wiki updated to this post, anyone else wish to join in the Oct. MADness (no not that madness...I mean the MADness)

I'll contact morges1 and see if we can arrange a DO on the Oct weekend...that would be a MAD Party....EDIT: well, having actually looked at my own calendar I realise that I'm flying with my better half to the Canaries that Saturday (from LHR with BA) so at most I can say hi to a few of you that are travelling to MAD that Saturday, the 5th Oct.

Safe travels everyone.

Yes, I have checked ba.com and it is showing as the aircraft for those dates and flights. See an example screenshot from the booking pages below;

7th Oct. 456:

The return 465 that evening:

You can check any other day that week and see the same.

EDIT: I should add, as Raffles posted on his HfP post, that nothing in life is certain, there could be a situation where the 'A' registration aircraft doing the DXB flight needs to be substituted for some reason so removing the 'B' registration A350 from this MAD training run on a day or more, or a tech issue on the aircraft doing the MAD training run itself...so it cannot be guaranteed but BA have indeed scheduled it to do training on these dates...so barring any issues, yes, it is 'definite' (as it can be given there are only two aircraft available at that time).

Hope this helps.

Flightradar24 is reporting A321 for today's BA464/BA465 rotation:

But ExpertFlyer reports rather busy A35K:

Shame G-XWBB hasn't been delivered yet!
