You will not, I’m afraid. DEN is not a HI-J route and there is no plan to install Wi-Fi on the MID-J 747s.

With respect to pricing, I would hope the basic service would be offered free in F or J. I favour hotel chains that have fast, free wifi and I suspect this will increasingly become a factor on airlines in the future.
An an option to pay using Avios would also be welcome.

Interesting, I was on BA 114 (JFK to LHR) 2 days ago (747) and received a survey after asking if I knew that wifi was available. I did not, as there were no announcements or inserts in the seat pocket. My first thought was the survey was wrong as they asked other questions that did not apply.

There there are 788 aircraft such as G-ZBJH. Did that get fitted? This aircraft does things like BWI, YUL and Indian destinations.

Very interesting. From the above list there are several aircraft that were in for similar lengths of time which therefore may have been fitted, so G-CIVG for example, which had a prototype wifi on it previously and is 86J, whereas CIVU is 52J.
There there are 788 aircraft such as G-ZBJH. Did that get fitted? This aircraft does things like BWI, YUL and Indian destinations.

Sorry I wasn’t really in test mode yesterday, it was more an idle how to kill the last couple of hours and thought I’d see if I could (a) get on in the first place and (b) what kind of stuff I could do if I did,
I went for the 1hour simply connect and plugged my Amex details in. Got the Amex notification straight away, unsurprising as online.. billed to Adyen UK Ltd.
The speed for web browsing was fine, I am guessing I had pretty much all the bandwidth to myself tho. First thought was post to FT
I did a quick WhatsApp video call (yes very discreet and I wouldn’t make a habit of it!), a few emails, YouTube and Netflix streaming was really quick but from the pricing structure shouldn’t have been available unless I had gone for the Connect Plus option. There’s a timer screen showing how long you have left.
I am sure they’ll have a way to bundle free access to certain customers by giving them a code, 23.99 for the top tier seems either expensive or good value depending what you’d want out of it.
I am already torn between being very impressed and thinking its a bit sad that one of those places you really are cut off from all the instant connectivity won’t be for much longer. With a 747 full of people all doing “i’m on the plane” shouty video calls!
I’ll see if it’s available on my flight home and maybe stump up for the full flight and run some speed tests etc.

On AA flights, which have had inflight wifi for some time, I have never noticed anyone video calling from the flight. Much like the fear that inflight wifi will cause everyone to talk all the time with Skype, it does not happen in practice. People can already talk loudly to their travel companions, and some definitely do (my transatlantic then transcontinental(US) flights yesterday both had some groups who were very loud for part of the flight). In addition, on a 747, you can't hear anyone more than a few seats away over the noise of the ventilation system so you need only fear loud people close to you.
