The BA228/229 seems to have taken a few hits recently - being cancelled on 14, 21 and 24 July.
I was originally booked on the 14 July BA229 - but was rebooked onto the following days flight. BA have agreed to the 'reasonable costs', but have refused cancellation compensation - perhaps not surprising (for round 1).
However:
i) at no stage did BA admit the cancellation was a result of industrial action - until 14 days later when they refused compensation (i.e. they withheld information);
ii) the cancellations of the BWI services (and probably other routes) are in excess of the 'only 0.5%' cancellation rate touted by BA - therefore it must have been an operational decision (not just industrial action);
iii) the 'merger of flights' is clearly not available on a single-flight route (JFK, yes); however, I was surprised that BA didn't reroute people to IAD (Washington Dulles) and bus them to BWI (like they used to do).

Ooof! This is good to know. I believe I saw an INDN cancellation code for that 7/24 flight, which would link it to the strike. Our flight on BA228 on the 13th was just fine, but we did note the service was slower than previous BA/EI flights I've taken. Our 229 flight is scheduled for tomorrow. So they're not offering any sort of compensation to get passengers from IAD to BWI? I mean, you can technically get to BWI on public transit, but it's pretty tough and would take forever.

Fingers crossed! Tomorrow's BA229 hasn't been cancelled yet. Would be quite short notice at this point. Not quite as awful as those O'Hare cancellations - sorry to those folks.

I have been trying to find the post where there was a lot of info about 241 vouchers and being downgraded. We are flying to PHL in First on the 9th August using 241. We have booked our granddaughter into First, paying Club and upgrading with Avios. Seeing that PHL is a flight that has been cancelled during the strikes I would be grateful if anyone who has had this flight cancelled what they were offered on another flight. Also the info on the 241 downgrading. I think CWS did a large piece on it. Thanks

Yikes for those O'Hare flights - cancelled for the rest of the week. I'm due to fly on LHR - BWI this week and that flight has been cancelled once or twice over the last few weeks. Fingers are crossed, but I'm expecting it'll be cancelled and I'll be rerouted on a flight to IAD or something.

My wife and I have just booked a short holiday to MUC, having had to cancel a river cruise due to temporary sickness.
We leave on the 06.55 LHR to MUC, which has been cancelled a few times.
We need to leave home at 03.00 to get to LHR. If cancelled, when would they tell us and what might they offer in return?

Wow, there really are a lot of ORD cancellations. On the 1st Aug, both cancelled, and 1 on the 30th and 31st (unless the flights are all full already?)
