Anyone help me with this?
Trying to get family out to HKG at fairly short notice. They are EDI based but happy to go EX-EU as long as not to crazy. Got Cathay avios seats held incase but would rather a decent fare. Both BA Gold. Cannot see anything good on Qatar or Cathay but not great at the searches. Dates around 26th August to 6th September with a little flexibility. Any help is much appreciated.

You can get LCA-DOH-CMB-HKG for 994 GBP in I or 1167 GBP in I/D.
Right now the return is very full until Sept 11; however, Amex have been good at asking for a waitlist and getting it confirmed by QR/UL, so it might just be worth a try.

40 +140 + 40 (x2) = 440 tps in case anyone after a premium fare was interested... 140 tps to CGK (so 640 in total) albeit for £1,132.

LCA-DOH - 1,262 mi
DOH-CMB - 2,244 mi
CMB-HKG - 2,494 mi
So that would be 40+140+140 x 2 = 640 tps for a return trip

Not quite a flight thing but £1299 return in Club LHR - JFK in mid-December when booked with hotel for three nights. Cheaper to get that than the flights individually.

Nip over to JER and you can save a further £150... though not worth the hassle for most I assume. Few extra TPs though

Well if we're playing this game, about 20 years ago I paid £250 for a return LHR-JFK, out on Concorde & back in Biz for my Brother & I (each).
And I'm not kidding.
Asked for an extra branded Cross fountain pen gift they were handing out and they gave me 2 extras which I sold for over £250 each and on the return paid the price for 5 quality cigars but was given the box of 25.
Not a bad deal really !
But times change :-(
I too loved the regular £800-1000 biz Qatar fares from a few years ago but it's unrealistic to compare today's deals to that.

I feel a bit daft now. I checked a few from ARN/CPH etc.. and it was all a bit more. Jersey is noted for next time, thanks. The saving can pay for my car parking.

Similar question to the last one, I need to get out to Bangkok around the August Bank Holiday weekend (ideally 28th but some flexibility), and back from Beijing on the 8 or 9 September. New to ex-EU and happy to do it if I can get a business fare below or around the £2k mark - my usual options like Finnair and CX ex-LGW are pricing pretty high. Any suggestions very much appreciated and apologies if I've not done the 'obvious' homework!
