For anyone over 6 foot tall (there are a lot of us) this seat length is useless.
There will be no seats where you can dangle your lanky legs over the end of a footstool…

Indeed, this will be a major problem for many, as is the reduced seat pitch in SH CE. BA will become an airline with the unique feature of being specialised in transporting short people.

Seems to be some more information here, not sure how much is new.

Got to say that the middle pair looks very interesting for couples if there is going to be direct aisle access, although the layout may also feature more rear-facing seats.

Interesting article. I didn't quite understand the part about differing seat lengths;
"Australian Business Traveller understands that the seats convert into a fully flat bed measuring from 6'1" (185cm) to 6'4" (193cm) depending on if they are located at a window, aisle or middle pair,.."
That will add to the fun of choosing the most optimal seat.

So the new A350 will get New CW. Are there any other orders for delivery in 2018 onwards A380's for example so they would get the New CW as well? Or are there no current orders for different aircraft at the moment does anybody know.

I would guess the B788/B789 fleet will keep the current CW seat even if delivered after the A350 intro just to keep the fleet standardised - but who knows what can happen between now and 2018!
Incidentally - has there been any discussion on where the A350 fleet is likely to be sent destination wise?

At the moment the only long-haul aircraft due in 2018 (and beyond) are A350's and B787's (all A380's on firm order have been delivered).

Lots of discussion on it there.
I assume that is where AusBT got the story from - djsflynn will be able to confirm.
