To be fair, I did post my comment before you posted more news - and excellent news it is too.

This is encouraging. I think a revamp of CW would entice back many of those who have left to use QR/CX/AA, like myself.

My initial thoughts are positive, assuming the seat pairs will be positioned 7'-6" apart (to allow access to window and middle seats). Eight abreast may bother those who rank quality on simple theoretical metrics
- window seats remain private possibly with extra bed length (in practice) ✔︎
- additional storage by virtue of slimmer IFE technology ✔︎
- no more sliding screens ✔︎
- no trapezoidal foot cocoons ✔︎
- 20.5” seat width (matches AA/AF/CX Cirrus versions) ✔︎
- arm rests at both sides of seat (improvement on AA/AF/CX Cirrus versions) ✔︎
- quilted leather outer trim ✔︎

Maybe this is the BA master plan...revolutionise First whilst CW merely evolves. Here's hoping!
And I agree with other posters, this 'leak' is 100% under the control of BA. A great way to illicit feedback.
@BA - overall I approve :-)

Hopefully. The lack of privacy in the middle seats in CW is sufficient to stop me booking BA.
I am not really sure about all this talk about the privacy in the window seats. Just what are people getting up to. The cirrus 1-2-1 is far preferrable in terms of overall privacy (if maybe not density).

Might be of interest to some to review the original "Next Gen" Club World design page from Tangerine, including a few videos of the designers discussing the original brief:

You do not have to sit opposite your neighbour during takeoff and and landing, only when you are being served.

No, just the safety briefing unless you're on one of BA's A380s that only let you put the divider up once you've taken off, and come down automatically 20 minutes before you land. It's not a great experience if you're facing a stranger.

Correct, the divider only needs to be down for the safety briefing.

Why is the a380 different to the rest of the fleet?

I think the power supply to A380 seats differs from other aircraft. On my first outing onboard a BA A380 the crew experienced problems enabling the seat’s power sockets and while not normally a problem on other aircraft, it did result in the screens also being deactivated - it took a good hour to get the power switched on and the screens were all locked in their retracted positions during that time.
