2016 POUG rate tracker

Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.

UPDATED TO: Post #259

POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

So I go to MMB for my LCY-FRA-LCY flight next week and see there is a £69 POUG offered. I need the TP's so try to book this but get:

Error

We regret that due to the nature of your booking we cannot change your booking on ba.com. Please contact your booking agent.

Trying multiple times over today gets the same message! Why is this?

The flight was booked (as usual) on ba.com, there is no "booking agent" involved and I am doing nothing different to that I always do for a POUG

AUS-LHR

AUS-LHR WT+ to CW: $765 one way. 5 Dec and return 11 Dec. Hoping to instead use Avios, no availability yet.
ETA - got my T-7 email today and clicking that link, the cash upgrade price is now $725. There are still 9+ seats in J, per expert flyer, so sti hoping upgrade capacity opens at least for outbound.

Dec 2016:

SJC->LHR CW $1230
LHR->SJC CW $810

Not sure this is an exciting deal yet..., the original WTP was $1330.

Wrong "Selling Class" after POUG?

Hello

I accepted an upgrade offer for $855 one-way, from SFO->LHR, upgrading WTP to CW. The original selling class was T, but I notice now that the Selling Class is shown as "U". Is this correct? I thought "U" was used for award flights. The tier points "to be earned" for the whole flight shows as 230 which is correct (140+90).

Thanks

POUGs are ticketed into redemption fare classes (U in the case of CE/CW) but you will receive the TPs and Avios for a revenue fare in CW. Not sure which Avios level within CW it would credit, imagine it would be the same as an I class fare.

There doesn't appear to be any history of POUGs or AUPs for flights to Mle, as I'm travelling there at the end of Feb I was hoping for a miracle.

I imagine the loved up honeymooners will be using the higher cabins.

Combined with KEF at £240 (wiki not updated: can somebody help with that)? Seems as though some of the long sector ET routes are now charging what seem very high prices for poug's. is this a new trend?
