Alas I can't seem to get this to work on our travel dates:

LHR-SFO: 9th Aug
SEA-LHR: 30th Aug

Prices well over 2k PP starting ex-DUB.

There is no 'I' class availability on either of the 2 SEA-LHR flights on 08/30 (and depending upon which PoS one uses, there seems to be nothing in I class on either of the two LHR-SFO services either)

I have to laugh... I have been waiting, waiting waiting... Since April I've been watching New York Business class holidays, ever since I missed their 3 day sale. Gave it till Tuesday and booked a different trip instead. Then less than 48 hours later, it arrives lol...

Hope it helps others though!

I just called BA for a fare quote and the agent said that they are definitely having a sale in September. I commented that they seemed to have missed a lot of other sales that they usually have and she said that, yes, they didn't have any earlier in the year but September is a definite, she had been to a briefing on it with her supervisor recently.

Any indication of short-haul vs long-haul, premium vs Y? What fare were you getting a quote for?

With the current 6 month advance US fares being less than historical sale fares in many cases, it will be interesting to see what they do with J pricing, same with F as recently that’s been offered for £200 extra each way which would make for some very cheap F indeed if they base it on the 6 months advance fare.

I was calling for a R Class (Business semi flexible) to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. These fares have always been about £1500 and recently have shot up to more than £1800 return. The agent said there would definitely be a sale, but it was anyone's guess if a particular route and class would be included. But she said the loadings on the Punta Cana route were low in February (I was booking for that month), and the fare was currently higher than it normally is, so those are good signs. This route has started operating densified 777's with the smaller business class, so fares are likely to go up, but at the same time it's almost 100% holidaymakers so price is a key issue. Fingers crossed

If you're flexible on dates, late Feb is a particularly good time to go - it's their Independence Day on the 27th.

I'm glad I didn't wait for a sale to book my Christmas flights this year. Out in J from LAX and back in F to SAN via LAX for $3,900. Right now, the same itinerary is pricing out at just over $19K. It would have to be one hell of a sale! Last year I did get lucky with a sale and got the direct SAN-LHR-SAN routing all in F for $4,600.

Luxury Sale

Does anyone know when the next one is due?

Will we see another one before January 2019?

Thanks

The people who may know something will not be the people who would truthfully answer your question on a public forum. Any responses you receive here will be purely speculative and as such virtually useless in almost every regard.
