I locked in a couple of LH flights in WT a couple of weeks ago thinking the sale would never come, Finnair was 20% cheaper but that change at Helsinki just does win me over. At least I will get a few extra avios (than Finnair) but less TPs I think.

I can't recall the last time June sailed by without a BA sale!

I'm wondering if some premium fares are being loaded... LHR-ORD return in is showing as £2150 in CW / £2550 in F.

As put in the premium fare thread yesterday. Post Christmas fares to west coast around 1500 in C.

I can see some decent IKX8C1M4 fare and I've managed to price it with a connection at JFK to SFO for 1655GBP in April. Interestingly the BA codeshare in the US books into J bucket, which is not something I've seen before.

I am seeing £50 return to Bordeaux consistently all year. Not sure how much cheaper you can get but I'm pretty impressed by this pricing.

What do you think this lack of sale reflects;

1. Forward bookings very healthy this year

or

2. Stopping recurrent sales to stop passengers relying on waiting for inevitable cheap fares

Maybe completely left field, but I wonder if it is being delayed until the football World Cup finishes, as a chunk of customers might put off too much travel planning at the minute.

Yep, definitely waiting until the inevitable England victory, so that they can feed off the "Best sale since 1966" marketing frenzy...

A CW 2 for 2018 sale would be good.
