I stupidly opted to ignore those and went for a Peach Melba from the Savoy. I think the server was actully shocked someone was buying one. He gave two away for free to the people before me because they waited so long for their beef dish. It was ok, but not really enough for £3/6 crowns.

Credit to the organising team at BA as well. I hope it encourages those who have been treated to the event/BA tent to fly with BA more - I think it gave everyone an excellent impression.

Glad to hear everyone had such a good time.
I have exams this week so couldn't really justify going (although had I been fortunate in Nicci's draw I would have just about managed to justify it!)
Will hopefully make it next year (no exams next year! ) so fingers crossed. I had so much fun last year and really want to go again!!

Just watned to add my thanks to Nicci and the Mods for the tickets I won from the BA competition - my friend, Miss VB, and myself had an excellent time at the event.
We weren't able to get into the BA Executive Club Lounge (I know, some of us on here aren't Golds/Silvers!), but were lucky enough to get a spot on one of the Champagne Tasting Masterclasses at the Height Cuisine 'tent'. Nearly got a spot on the Taste of Russia too, as top of the standby list, but alas everyone turned up!
Some highlights including the "Taste of Peru"'s excellent Ceviche (from the wonderful Ceviche restaurant in Soho), Osyter Tavern's top quality Pork & Foie Gras mini-burger, and Gaucho's Salted Caramel & Chocolate dessert.
Very good time had - thanks again for the tickets, Nicci.

Also had a great time on Saturday night...the Jamie Oliver burger was fantastic and so were the BA chocolate deserts (Which they were handing out for free at the end!) Wasn't over impressed with the Secret Garden, unless there was something good there but was kept such a secret that I didn't manage to find it?
Many thanks also to Stifle and jmpawson for guesting me in to the BA lounge...was good to meet some FT'ers and enjoy some of that great cheese!

What's this gossip I'm hearing about a group getting removed by security on the Saturday night?
Anyone got the juicy details?
Surely they weren't FTers!

Not gossip. It happened, but doesn't need to be raised again. Shame a few can tarnish things for the rest...

I was removed.... Twice in fact
Although it was at the end of the two sessions I attended
I received my delivery of the superb dessert wine on show at the baec tent last weekend. I see it's price has already increased £5 in a week since I it my order in.
