My spouse and I were booked LAX-LHR in F in seats 3EF, but an aircraft configuration change has us in a 77W with only two rows (8 seats) in F. Not sure if this is a 77M or if that's a 772. At any rate, both sets of center seats are taken, but all four window seats are currently open. Any advantage to row 1 vs row 2? Are these the old 77W F seats, just fewer of them and some new fabrics?

I worry that I'm inviting obvious answers here but what's the difference between the "Refreshed 2010 First" that you find on a 77M compared to the plain old "2010 First" that you'd find on something like a 77R?

My understanding is that the 2010 F is the same seat and configuration regardless. The 2010 "refreshed" version uses the same seat and configuration but the cabin has been refreshed, carpet, seats repaired etc. as well as new (different) IFE installed and reduced to 8F seats versus 14F seats. These F seats do not have closing doors either when compared to the 2020 F refurbishment.

77S - Cancun to LGW this Friday
Hi,
Hope someone can help me with a decision. Im flying back from Cancun to London this Friday on (I think) a 777S. It was a solo companion voucher redemption booking so Im in Economy (although I was able to get an upgrade using avios to WTP on the way out)
WTP looks extremely busy so I doubt an upgrade will be available so Im dreading an overnight 10 hours in economy. Theres two seating options which Im having difficulty choosing between:
1. The bulkhead at row 20 where H J K are all still available (but could end up surrounded by small children - and is the legroom any better in that row anyway?)
2. Row 33 exit row - for an additional fee of 102. Im a Silver Exec Club member so didnt think additional seat choice fees applied, but is this the better option?
Also - is it true that BA will block the seat next to a silver member if availability permits? In which case should I go right down the back and choose one of the twin seats 43, 44, 45 A B J K? Is it likely that Ill have the other seat to myself?
Thanks in advance for the advice/opinions.

20H is a decent seat, a bulkhead one but not quite as good as an exit seat as per 33C which I can still see open on Expertflyer and ba.com on a dummy booking. Bear in mind in return for unlimited leg room there are toilets very nearby.

I wouldn't choose 33A as the emergency exit slide protrudes and interferes with legroom therefore 33C is a good choice in my humble opinion but you'd have to pay to reserve it as only Golds or above can reserve these free of charge. Alternatively you could wait until OLCI opens and try and get if for free but someone might beat you to it.
You could also of course go for 43A or B or 43 J or K (44 and 45 pairs are taken) and there's a chance in 43 that the seat next to you might possibly be blocked due to theoretical seating.

There still seems to be quite a few seats for sale and Expertflyer is showing this at present (UK Point of Sale)

There's a good video here, go to about 5:40 and you'll see row 20

16A and 16JK (A and K having direct aisle access) might be good if there's 3 of you? On an overnighter I'd choose a window seat so maybe 11, 12, 13 A or K.

Quick question on the 77M in WTP. The seat maps on here show the toilets being behind seats 24D - G. The seat map on BA.com shows the toilets being behind 24B and D. Which is correct?

We are flying on BA218 and originally booked 1E and 1F in CW. However, I received an email saying our seats have been changed to 10E and 10F. Whats really made me curious is the BA seat map still shows the new CW suite configuration (in which case, why have we moved, as I assume in that case theres no F cabin?) but, whats stranger, is 10F is showing as aisle rear-facing
Im super confused. Anyone know whats going on?
Thanks
