Do you think that BOS-LAX-NRT-BKK-SYD would be allowed?
If not how about BOS-LAX-NRT-ICN-SYD? |

CNS-GUM-NRT-LAX(stopover)-FRA allowed?
Hello guys. I'm trying to book an award flight from Cairns to Frankfurt with a stopover in Los Angeles. The only routing with availability that I get is via Guam and Tokyo. It involves four segments and is much longer and has one more segment than the "direct route" CNS-GUM-NRT-FRA. Any guesses whether I would get away with the "extended route" at the regular mileage rate? I'm tempted to give it a try. Thanks, ps

Aside from the fact DC is now closely monitoring the route (ICN-KHV), OZ staff at CDG won't let you check in unless you have a Russian Visa.

Dear all,
Since I need to go to KHV, I'm looking to do a CDG-->ICN-->KHV as Z1-->Z2 award. Will I be allowed a stopover at ICN ? DC site is a bit vague - it says "No stop-overs are permitted within Europe. Outside of Europe one stop-over is permitted" ICN is outside Europe for sure, but my routing is Z1-->Z2 - do they count this as Europe and do not permit stopovers ? Thanks & regards, El Puerco Volante. |

BD are much wiser about this particular issue these days, mainly because of the bragging that's been going on, on here. Hence they have been warning people that they will be charged for a Z8 if they choose to miss the last leg.
They've been monitoring Z1-Z10 redemptions too. People cannot say that they haven't been warned. |

You mean you would like to jump ship in ICN? Best to call them and see what they say as they monitor these bookings very closely.
So looks like nobody know if the rules allow stopovers in this case ( but a lot of people are very fast to jump to conclusions ) Thanks & regards, El Puerco Volante. |
Stopover at ICN is not allowed since you are flying on a Z1/Z2 award.
As an alternative, you can fly FRA-SVX with LH (z1/z2) and fly Ural Airlines or Vladivostok Avia from SVX to KHV. Russian domestic fares will not be too expensive, I reckon. Transsiberian train is a good way to travel to Vladivostok, too.

No, I meant exactly what I said - I'd like to have a stopover at ICN. Since I have to fly to KHV and the only way to do it on *A award is trough ICN, it would be nice to have couple of days in ICN before proceeding to KHV.

Route change possible?
Afternoon folks
Pls feel free to shout/redirect me to other posts if necessary - Just before I call the marvellous ICC I'd like some advice with this. I have a booked cash & miles leg with ANZ (LHR - LAX) towards Christmas, and would like help with these options: 1) Changing the date AND adding a stopover in JFK for couple of days. 2) Either of the above but making the final destination SFO. Will they allow either of these options? Thanks in advance. |

Provieded that award seats are still available, you can change the final destination to SFO, travel date, and also add a stopover in NYC.
But you will have to cancel the existing booking and make a new reservation, I guess. It is subject to 25 Pounds cancellation fee, too.

Thanks for the responses.
Just to clarify, flytofly re this: 'But you will have to cancel the existing booking and make a new reservation, I guess. It is subject to 25 Pounds cancellation fee, too' I'm looking to do a leg 'change' for £20, rather than cancel and re-book. At this stage it's too risky to lose a xmas flight to LAX completely (especially ANZ BP!) |

It will be a change fee of £20 only. No need to cancel and reissue as you are still flying to/from the same zones.
