I have used this code many many times. I believe it is for Citicorp Leisure Travel (found on this forum, maybe even this thread). I have never noticed Citicorp showing up on any contract. I have never been asked for an ID. This code and the Amateur Sports Assistance Program code, D005297 ,typically give me my best rates. Neither have ever presented me with any ID issues.

I have noticed that these codes exclude me from qualifying rentals with AvisFirst. I earn a bunch of e-music (worthless) but I don't earn the points towards free weekends. The savings are worth more to me than the free weekends.

K199060 - this is still a valid code. It is from the Orlando Convention and Visitor's Bureau (at least that's where I see the link and information). It gives good rates at MCO, and also at off-airport locations.

Thank you for this code. 10 off an off-site week rate. Teamed with a coupon for $20. That brings me to 140 for a week. 20 bucks a day.

Thankyou for this code for orlando.

I assume you mean G930700? I don't know where it comes from. But for my Dec/Jan trip to Hawaii A074800 & B999000 worked much better. :)

This code brought my OW rental way down. It's such a significant discount that I need to know the source and past experiences with it before I want to use it. TIA.

Found this on a TripAdvisor thread:

As a previous Avis employee, I can guarantee you that EVERY Avis employee knows about the A153700 or B999000 Rate Codes.

You will NOT receive that rate unless you provide a letter stating that you are an employee AND you have a valid Avis ID. And then you will probably be sucked into paying the Rack Rate for your rental!

I would try AWD: T111949 instead, it will usually get you a better rate!

Good Luck!
So yeah, sounds like a risky one.

It's worked once for me in NYC a few weeks ago, no questions asked. But I'm none the wiser as to its source...

Edited to add: Oops, I thought you were referring to G930700, not to the employee-only code.

Thanks for the heads up. I suspected it's gotta be for some special groups because it showed a really low flat rate for all classes of vehicle. The search for discount is back on!

No encouragement from my side, but one can still test the waters in Europe with this code...naturally with backup, always, up their sleeve... :)

Has anyone ever seen the code A980000? This code was given to me by a friend who used to work for Avis, but I am a little nervous to use it becuase I entered into the reservation it took a 202 per day rental and changed it to 69.

Not sure on where this code comes from. As to the rate given, it jacked the price of my rental up from most of the other helpful codes listed throughout this thread. I'm pluggin this code in for EWR it helps any.

Is AWD D005297(Amateur Sports Assistance Program) safe to use?

nmenaker Nov 30, 2008 7:28 pm

all the time

I am pretty much using this one all the time, so I wouldn't say there are problems with it.
