Just in case anyone is wondering, "B116099 Cheap Premium Car rate at LAX" is still a very excellent code for LAX.

These are the booking prices for 5 days in late August at LAX (including weekend). Definitely not getting these prices at IND or CLT!

Subcompact Chevrolet Aveo or similar 144.00 USD
Compact Chevrolet Cobalt or similar 154.00 USD
Intermediate Pontiac G6 or similar 175.00 USD
Standard Size Chevrolet Monte Carlo or similar 185.00 USD
Full Size Chevrolet Impala or similar 196.00 USD
Premium Buick Lucerne or similar 257.00 USD
Luxury Cadillac DTS or similar 350.00 USD

Google returned a link for the American College of Physicians. Guess I better wear my stethoscope...

I'm showing a great rate of $213 for a 5 day premium rental unlimited mileage in Fargo, ND. Has anyone successfully used this code yet, and were there any troubles?

First time renting in NY - help

Hi,

I'm a stranger. First time renting a car in U.S. Trying to find good discount and bit confused by all these codes.

Decided to rent a car from AVIS at White Plains (HPN) in New York from 08/26/ -09/04.

Tried several codes - the best seems to be "B999000". Is it safe to use it (for a guy from Europe)?

I'm flying to U.S with "Continental Airlines" and would like to pay with for rent with "Mastercard" (just for the info).

May be someone already dealed with similar situation. Do I need to pay for LDW (as I understood it's only up to 100$ in state New York). What happens if I cross the border of NY state?

Any suggestion or help is appreciated.

No.

I just reserved a full size to be picked up and returned in TPA. Nov 9-Nov 13. Grand total including tax $156. I didn't even need a code. That is a pretty fair price in my opinion.

Anyone know of a good rate for Thailand? Phuket especially.

Why code with LDW?

Hi,

I've been going through this forum and read few posts about codes with LDW included. For example: G417900.

It seems fishy to me. What happens if I get to an accident? The company will be contacted - I'm not their employee so they will want their money back (and sue me?).

Or maybe I'm wrong so please correct me.

http://www.kellsport.com/kellwoodtravel.html - The code G417900

Is it safe to use such code then?

anyone have an alternative for rentals in Spain over 30 days?

Most discount codes are for rentals of around 17days or less. After that it can be more advantageous to check into rates to "lease" the car rather than get a rental rate. Some companies have codes tht are for LESS than 30 days.

If you look at this forum you will see many, many instances with posters telling you what is required to use the Avis Employee code..including Avis identification and in some cases a letter from your supervisor AT AVIS.

by some of the posts it would appear that people believe that Avis Employees will not question you if you use the Avis Employee code.
It is a benefit to Avis employees so they probably do not take kindly to others using THEIR benefit.

As others on this forum have stated IF YOU ARE PLANING TO USE THIS CODE
BE SURE TO HAVE A BACK UP WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.

Should you want to believe some have used the code with no problem
that is your call. Any thing is possible depending on the individual person behind the counter renting you the car. BUT I would not want to be asked for AVIS ID and when I cant provide it have to rent that car WITH NO DISCOUNT.

Many companies with codes posted on this site do not have employee IDs
and many have rental cars booked by their corporate travel department
so it is better to use them rather than the code from the company you are renting the car from.

K024790

40% off rentals of 3 days or more through Dec 31, 2008.

In conjunction with Southwest Rapid Rewards

You are supposed to be able to book either through avis.com or southwest.com. I am not sure if you need a Southwest Rapid Rewards number or not.

Important edit - the correct code is K024701, not the one in the title - sorry
