As of 2/12/14: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this AWD. It's great" type of posts. When the AWD doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the AWD of someone so the poster can earn free days from their Avis Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the AWD or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here.

"See counter"
"See Counter" ... that's what no one wants to read on the Avis Preferred board next to their name.
I used C302100 and I was asked for company identification at the Avis Preferred counter in LAX this early morning.
She didn't mention Bombardier. Just "company identification". I said I left it at home, the response was "So you don't even have your business cards on you?"
I stood my ground, but in the end got denied the rate. I was offered $25/day excess which they'll waive if I can provide a letter from "my company" upon return of the vehicle, which states that I am an employee.
$25/day penalty is not tragic, but it was a very uncomfortable situation.
I understand that my case might have been an off-chance where this kind of verification/check took place, but I would still advise caution.

Oh no! So very sorry you had to endure this. No one should ever have to experience this kind of awkwardness when renting a vehicle. Based on this, I'll avoid using this code, and likely C062090, in my future rental bookings. Too bad Avis sites don't mention the origin of these AWD codes when booking rentals.

Oh annoying! It appears LAX are wise! Or perhaps it was mere coincidence...?
Does anyone have any EU codes that work, im looking to book a car for 5 days in Stockholm, Sweden and so far cant get any codes to give any discount other than a measly 5 saved... A few even made it more expensive!
I have used the code mentioned before H811101 on a one way JFK to ATL booking for a roadtrip in October and saved a few hundred pounds as well as getting full LDW coverage for the booking! Unfortunately this deal has now ended
Any ideas?

Curious if anyone actually had success with renting transactions either using this code (C062090) or the other discovered "Bombardier" code (C302100), without any questions from rental counter staff -- and even if you're an Avis Preferred customer? Both offer utterly fantastic rates for weekly rentals.

Looking for a single day rate code to use while in Las Vegas in August. Staying at New York New York (Avis QN4 location). Any recommendations? I've tried costco and a few others, and it's roughly $73 a day. Anything better?

I booked a car in Malaga in September using the BA blue membership AWD N744100 on avis.com as an Irish resident. This got me a significantly better rate than on avis.co.UK and matched the pay now rate on avis.ie. I am indeed am ba blue member. Just wondering if this is legit. Insurance, tax and location surcharge are all there.
