NOTE: This thread has been superseded by the thread entitled LM F and J routes (and the occasional trick-it) Rebooted v2.0. Please follow the discussion there.

Region definitions
C1 North America
C1.5 Caribbean, Bermuda
C2 Europe
C2.5 Middle East
C3 Asia
C4 South America
C5 Africa
C6 Oceania

2X, 3X: in the context of this LifeMiles thread, 2X and 3X refer to any 2nd and 3rd legs of a one-way award ticket.

LifeMiles' Star Alliance Award Chart

Cash & Miles redemptions: buying the max (60%) isn't always the best deal (unless you're purchasing all miles right there). Check here for the best CPM.

Beware of Cabotage: LifeMiles has been known to issue tickets that constitute Cabotage, and at least one instance of denied boarding has been reported, stranding the passenger. An easily-seen example is travel on Copa from LAX to SJU (via PTY).

There... but 1000% not among us

correction: You*re right, yes she was with us but she won't say or write a word about it! However, I assume you're talking about another blogger.

Did you guys have a SIN LM DO? I would love to be included next time!! I have some tips, but you probably already know them

Also tips to share on Singapore MS that I haven't seen anywhere in the forums but didn't know the appropriate place to show/ask questions.

Going to book some tickets using LM this weekend from C2 to SIN and will share AFTER I book mine so space doesn't get taken

I don't think the Aussies post tricks in the plain open. There is a lifemiles spreadsheet with only a handful of people who have access.

Some new and interesting C5 discoveries today. This has become a past time activity. Getting too unproductive!

I have a question for you all. If one wanted to take the next flight from a connecting city, would the carrier airline make you call LM to make the changes or if space available, can they change you themselves. Would this incur a change fee? I am thinking more like standby status (though one would only take that option w ample availability).

Hi everyone,

I have been reading through the whole thread over the last days and wanted to say thanks to all the guys who have given hints and shared their findings. It helped me figure out some of the more obvious things (chainsaw, gummy bear etc.), but also some LM quirks that were not mentioned here I think.

To be more specific, I am talking about very cheap tickets from C3N to C2. So far, I have only found one origin in C3N that works. Does anybody here know if other C3N origins work too (assuming there’s availability) or if this is a glitch that is specific to this one origin?

Also, is there a similar way to come back? I only found two destinations that work for that, but they are limited to J and Y.

Thanks for your help!!!
