$500 for use on wine at porthos.com/wow2023 which takes you to a dedicated landing page with just 3 items priced at $1525, $1725 and $4325. Small print says can only be used at this landing page - however I was able to navigate away to the full website menu and make other selections. Their prices range from slightly inflated to very inflated so need to shop carefully. I was able to buy $700 of wine for $250 including over $50 for shipping

Hi all, long time reader of forum 1st time poster.

I'm curious if other USA Centurion card holders (specifically business cards) have noticed a drop off in the gifts sent by Amex? Post 2020, I can only remember getting the Prada wearable and a $500 Zegna gift card. For 2023/2024 I don't think we saw anything. Is it just me?

Prior to 2020, I remember every year I would get 1 to 2 gifts.

Similarly, regarding the personal card, I recall using the $500 credit at the Art place. There was also a $500 credit for a store selling roses that last a year. Additionally, there was another credit mentioned in the monthly Centurion member newsletter for a high-end gift store, but I couldn't find anything to buy there.

It's definitely much thinner now than before. In 1999, we had digital cameras and various cool stuff. I wonder if a lot of budget went into the Centurion Experiences event a year or two ago with Gwyneth Paltrow and other artists. We planned to go to a wine event in San Francisco and a Salman Rushdie reading in LA, but they got canceled due to Covid and other problems.

I can confirm. I have gotten zilch in many years other than a Bose speaker when a centurion studio opened near me, and the Prada bracelet. I don’t consider either of those gifts like I used to receive from time to time.

I once remarked about this to my rep and they suggested changing my zip code to a secondary address in a larger market, which I never did because it seemed like both a hassle and a stupid basis from which to exclude certain members, but then again geographical exclusion is at the heart of their approach in recent years (exhibit 1: equinox “benefit”).

A couple of weeks ago I received a $500 gift card, no minimum spend, from abchome.com.
